[align=center]I have a mini rex, although I don't know if breed truly matters, but she LOVES going for walks! I take her outside about everyday and she'll tug on the leash to go for walks. Is she just getting in touch with her "wild side" or do other rabbits enjoy this also?

Thanks 'bun'ches!

She definitely likes to go at her pace, but she'll tug on her leash to go one way or another. Maybe she's trying to keep her girlish figure or something. data:image/png;base64,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

That is quite unusual as all rabbits I have ever had usually either sit or just hop a little bit here and there. OR they freak out and pull out of the harness which is very scary and ensures that will be their last walk lol!

My Joe LIVES for his walks. You can barely keep up with him, as he books it here, there, and everywhere. I also take him to our local feed store and he has a blast going up and down aisles, through the clothing forest, and into his admiring public's arms. Only for a while though, and then its time to go explore.

I personally LOVE this trait about him, and hope he doesn't grow out of it (he's 8 months).

Now were working on taking direction, and not dragging me wherever he so likes.

Enjoy what you bun is offering you!

Wow! I tried to put a harness on my boy Baxter! and he lost his mind! My neighborhood, apartment building is WAY to dog dominated to even think about it - so he is just a free roaming bun at home.

Enjoy your walks - I'm so envious of you! :)

Jelly loved going for walks, So did Speckles. Taffy turns into a beast, trying to kill you, Charlie hated the whole idea all together, and Ripley is so small the harness slides off. Sooo, we have yet to see about him.

She's been doing it since I put a harness and leash on her. She LOVES going out to stores and anytime we walk in we get the same reaction, "IS THAT A RABBIT?!?! OMG! I THOUGHT IT WAS A STUFFED ANIMAL!!" lol. I LOVE it. :) And she sure loves the attention. My male, Stitch, doesn't care for walks but Chili is rearing to go when you bring out one of her million harness's. :p She even loves to get dressed up. When I take out her shirt she'll do binkies and pull it out of my hands, and no lie, try to put it on. :p I love my Chili Willy Jelly Bean. Haha.

I use 2 different types of harnesses, I use custom made harnesses and also ferret harnesses cause they stay on better and the Velcro/buckle ones I bought from pet stores she could get out of. Here's some pictures of a few of her harnesses.

That's her custom made harness. :) She also has one in a giraffe print. :)

And that's her ferret harness. I got it at Petco cause I got tired of the usual colors. :p She also has a leopard one like this, also bought from Petco. :)

Chili doesn't mind dogs, my mom's dogs LOVE her and she loves them. She's kinda fearless which isn't always a good thing. Haha. I actually have pictures of Chili and Chopper, an am-staff from the store I used to work at. She just went up to him and cuddled with him. She doesn't care. So I let her walk around when we go places but I am ALWAYS aware of my surroundings. We also have a cat in our neighborhood so when we go on our walks I'm always looking for him.

We don't have rabbit harnesses here so I tried to use a leash on MILU some times, then I gave up and just let him be free on the garden, he never ran away, just felt more comfortable. Some times he'd run fast in the garden, but most of the times he'd just enjoy it at a speed I could cope with :p
He enjoyed it a lot though, especially digging and breaking plants. hehhe :D

@ Amy - your bunnies are so fashionable!! I love their "outifts"! And yeah when people see real rabbits going out for a walk they think they're dogs (sometimes cats) or that they're stuffed animals, that's so funny!!

Thank you. :) I kinda spoil my furbabies. :p And they know it! :) The few people who say, "Is that a stuffed animal." I feel like looking at them and saying, "I may be crazy, but I'm not that crazy." lol. I don't like letting them go off leash outside cause I never know if a hawk will fly over or if Nintendo, the neighborhood cat will get ballsy and try to go after them. Plus, people tend to not keep hold of their dogs outside so I like to know if something or someone comes up to grab one of the rabbits that I can quickly get a hand on them and pick them up right away.

My boy, chester, walks on the harness very nicely. he follows my leadlike a dog! (although he does hav his stubborn days :p)he will usually walk at my heel, it's so cute :)

I take him around thefront garden and sometimes i take him for a walk down my street, andhe willgo for a little jog with me.It is a fairly quiet and safe street, and Chester is pretty relaxed. We usually just stick to our own street footpath to be on the safe side. it really is great excercise for him though! ;)

i would love to share photos but i dont have flikr or anything... and by the way, those harnesses are very cute!

Thank you. :) I use tinypic.com to upload mine to here. :) I'll have to get some pictures of her, I have one in my albums but I'll have to get more. :)

Sheogorath loves going for walks! c: I take him to the park a few times a month. He also loves digging in my garden and eating basil & parsley. Walking a rabbit is a lot of hard work, though. It's more like they're taking you for a walk!

My rabbit enjoys going for walks too. She knows where she wants to go when we are outside and often goes to the backdoor when sheis readyto go. Going with the dog is her favorite.

Did you "teach" your bun how to wear a harness (no arguing the first time?) or was your bun so in love with your dog it wanted to "fit-in" and follow; or, do you think your bun is just one silly bun that thinks its a dog? lol.. your story cracked me up..

Nope, she just took to it. Stitch did too, but he doesn't like to walk. But she may think she's a dog. I mean, she was an only bun for awhile and was around 2 dogs.. so maybe... lol. :)
