do rabbits need to drink alot

hi all

just wanted to say lucy have never been a good drinker of

water even though she has her water bowlright next to her

my hubby checked her water bowl today

and said he couldnt see any change

This is Lucy's first full day after surgeryright? Have you seen her intake any fluids? Are you srynge feeding her?She needs to have fluids to ensure she does not dehydrate.

My buns drink an awful lot of water, I am constantly filling up theirbottles and crocks. I believe in a post somewhere that they should onaverage drink 1 ounce of water for each pound they are. I'll have tolook for that post to make sure.

Hope Lucy is recovering nicely from her surgery.

Rabbit are not a great drinker. thoght Sniffy isa preety good drinker (or spiler. His water are here in ther morningand then there less. Once we saw him spill them off... but it was longtime ago)

A thing I must say for a

TIP to make rabbit drink: !!!You dont have to listen to me i'm not a vet!!!

My Sniffy never drinked much from the bottle. So. We fill a BOWL withwater. then he drink it! IU recommand you to try it! IT realy help!

Rabbits who eat green stuff get thereWater from there,butyou MUST give them direc water too... Hope that I help.Sivan
