My rabbit has cat carrier that I let her use as her get away spot from the chickens. I went to clean it out today and I found a "nest" inside of it, she hasn't pulled any fur or anything it's just hay.

Here is a pic of what I found when I opened it up.

You're sure the chickens didn't get in there? Honestly, I don't see rabbits make such round nests, usually. Buuuut, yes, rabbits will make nests even if they're not pregnant. It could be a false pregnancy (usually caused by being humped).

Still, how sure are you that she hasn't been exposed to a buck? If there's any CHANCE that she might have been, just be prepared.

I'd also suspect that another animal may have gotten in there and made a nest. None of our rabbits have ever made such perfectly round nests. And yes - does may build nests even when not pregnant.

Pretty sure, the hay is recycled (it's on the coop floor). She's the only one that can fit in the cat carrier.
