Digging

So I had Belvedere on my bed and he kept digging in my blankets. Question is what can I give him that he can dig in?

My girl likes to dig in phone books, I just open them up half way and leave them in the cage, and she digs and digs!

phone books do work great! Another thing is to give them grass/seaweed mats to chew on and play with.

he loves to dig and "fluff" blankets tho. He will kind of hopand pat at the same time then push, push then dig dig.....

I don't give them phonebooks cause they eat that soft paper and I don't like that.

I know some people make big tubs of dirt for them to dig in, but I knowmy bunnies and the room would have dirt all over and the tub would beempty!

He has the grass mats but he just lays on them. So I'm going to try the phone books and tubs of dirt.

Any other suggestions?

I think cat litter would work,be sure too get the plain clay kind.or they could dig in woody pet.bluebird

I wouldn't recommend clay cat litter, even if it's nonclumping, because it's so dusty. Sand would be good though, and less messy than dirt. I keep meaning to give my buns a box of sand. What mine also love is a cardboard box stuffed with newspaper and hay, or just a big old pile of newspapers.

I give my buns towels to dig at which works well but be careful to make sure they don't eat any.
