Hi, everyone! I've been reading this board for alittle over a week now, and finally it is time to post. I have reallyenjoyed seeing everyone's rabbit pics, and 'hearing' all of the bunnyadvice, and especially reading all of the funny bunny stories. This isour first bunny, and his name is Stanley:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/chiknflea/Stanleyfuzzycopy.jpg">

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/chiknflea/stanleylook.jpg">

We got him the Tuesday before Thanksgiving as an early Christmaspresent for my 13 yr. old daughter. He has grown quite a bit since then.
As you can see from the pic we only have a very small cage for him. Wewere going to let him be a house bun, or room bun as is the case, sincehe lives in my daughters room. He is almost all the way litter-trained,but has tried to chew up all of my daughters furniture - yeeks! Soooo,methinks he needs a bigger cage, especially for when we have to go outof town for a weekend. I'd like to know that he is safe and snug in hiscage whilst we are gone.
I saw all of the neat cube cages in the cage pic thread and would liketo make one myself. I think I've tracked down some cubes at BBB - butI'm stumped a bit on how to make a door and the ramps. :?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Whoops! I thought I knew what I was doing posting pics...but when I dochoose file it tells me my pics are too big...help on that too? :shock:

When posting pictures like you are doing (linkingfrom photobucket) simply click the little white square with 3 littlecircles in it thats located in the bar near the spell check.

Pictures will show up like this:

Oh, thank you MBB. I can't fix it in edit, itjust moves the the little img things to the bottom of my post, so I'lljust leave it like it is since you showed my pics for me. 'preciate it!

It shouldn't move them to the bottom of the post.

You put your cursor where you want the picture to go, click on the picture button:

bar.jpg

And insert the link to the picture. For example, in the screen thatpops up, you would simply enter"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v31/chiknflea/Stanleyfuzzycopy.jpg"

The picture should show up where your cursor is.

Oh ya, and I adore your bunny! Simply precious! (I have a soft spot for lops even though both mine aren't lops, lol.)

I don't know why, but I would put the cursor where I wanted it and theimg things still ended up at the bottom. May be my browser (Safari),sometimes it doesn't interact with websites as exactly as it should.Oh, well, no biggie.
I saw the pics of your bunnies, they are adorable. I love the one of Spice acting like he was going to attack the camera!

Oh my!:shock:I adoreStanley! Welcome aboard Sunnysideup! I think you willlove your cube cage, affectionately known around here as condos andpalaces! :)I've recently posted mine on the"cages"thread. When I made my door I just attached 4 panels together and thenhinged them on whatever side you wish for your door to hinge. Usethezip ties to hingewith. I used Ipieceof thin wafer board or paneling (something hubby had in the garage) cutto the proper sizeto go fromone level to the other,andwidth that is comfy for bun.We drilled holes inthe top and bottom and zip tied it to each level and then hot gluednatural cornhusk mats to ours for traction. Carpets are bad in any partof thecage! Pier one has natural sea grass door mats,place mats and cornhusk mats that are perfect for cages and safe forbunny. Last but not least. Mine isn't pictured, as I haven't updated myphotos, but I put a coroplast bottom in mine which I would never livewithout again. It is a product used by printing shops/sign companies.It's like a shiny/slick cardboard. It is waterproof and can be takenout and washed. I bought a sheet 4x5 for 10.00. You score it and thenfold and box the corners to custom fit your cage. It comes up the side(mine is 6-8" up the side)and it keeps all the stray poos,hay, pellets, etc. from getting out onto the floor. It's awesome!Especially if you are going to have it in your daughters room! Thereare several threads on building wire cages. You might do a search andyou'll find more info and helpful info. Good Luck!

Only advice: don't use carpet.

he's a cutie!!

you might try rubbing ivory soap on things that he chews on that he'snot supposed to.. works for our buns! we've even startedrubbing a bit on the carpet outside our bedroom door since they pull atit when we're asleep (they're like HEY wake up!) and it works for thattoo :)

:shock:How do you ever say no to that face? I would end upgiving him treats at the very onset of begging! he would be allowed todo any damage to anything he chose.....

You might need a larger litterpan for him. I had the cornerpan for Bo. It worked until he got about 4 mos old and it wastime for a big one. He uses it better with more room toscooch his butt around in there.....

Welcome aboard! I'm so glad you found thismessage board EVERYONE here is exceptional. I've learned TONS from thisboard, there is so much good information going around.

Raspberry- thanks for posting about the carpet/grass mat info. Lookslike I'll be changing Mr. Wiggles soon. I'm thinking a Spa theme when Iredo it
