I have two rats, both of them with the disease "Mycoplasma". I knowit can pass from rat to rat, however both my rats have had it since birth. My 3 year old rat is struggling with bad attacks lately, so she's on antibiotics daily for the rest of her life.

I let my rabbits run around my bedroom, and the rat cage is located against the wall, near where they run.

I have heard it is hard for a URI to pass from like a rat to a rabbit, is this true? Sometimes Snowball (the rat) breaks out with a URI due to the Myco.

However, my concern is the Mycoplasma itself. Can it be transmitted from the rat to the rabbits?

no, it cannot even pass rat to mouse. its only rat to rat, mouse to mouse etc.

i have had rats for 7 years and almost every one of them had myco! i know how you feel with your little rattie babies!

but i woudnt worry about passing it on to a rabbit at all

Myco sucks, It's not fair that they are born with it. I can't remember either if I ever had a rat that didn't have a myco flareup.
