My 4-5 week old babies are already on hay and oats and snacking out of the food bowl (I add extra food).

Yep they can have hay. When they're young thoughits recommended that you use alfalfa hay and pellets. You can feed itan occasional treat, maybe once a day, and you can give it vegetableslike bokchoy (spelling?). Rabbits dont need to really eat anythingbesides that.

Since my moms don't eat fruits and veggiesregularly - I tell folks to NOT feed their babies those things tillthey are at least 4 months old (and I usually try to tie it to a holiday- like Easter or 4th of July or something like that) so they canremember it easier. Plus I write it on the sheet I send w/ the babies..

So if mama isn't having vegies - don't give the babies vegies yet.
