so i have been reading around, and i cant quite find the answer...

i am fostering a lionheaded male who has been altered and due to deformities, has had all his front teeth removed sergically..

lately he has started to have diareah and it looks like mini grape clusters....

vet checked ok.....

i have tried less greens...

and have gradually changed to a better quality pellet....

and even tried a wet tail remidy...

any ideas?

What you are describing sounds like cecal pellets. Cecals are a special poop created in the cecum that pulls all nutrients out of the poop. They eat these pellets, and are full of very good vitamins and nutrients. They are normally eaten straight from the anus, but if they are producing too many they won't eat them all.

There are many causes of excess cecals, too much protien or too much carbs are a common culprit.

Exactly what changed from the time he was not having these left over cecals? Has there been a food change?

well i just typed out a big long response and it is gone...

so....

only thing that changed was his mom started working more...

and then with the matting due to poo she couldnt have him, so i have him and it stoped and now is back...

he does get vitamins in his water.. per the vet, could he be getting too much?
