Hi everyone!
My bunny is about 5 1/2 years old and she's a small breed. Not quite a dwarf but not large either. White with blue eyes. For the 5 years I've had her she very rarely would go to the bathroom outside her cage, some droppings were normal though. The past month or two she's started to use our rug outside her cage as her new litter box. I feel like she hardly uses her cage now except to pee. I woke up this morning and there was at least 100 or more droppings outside her cage. this has been a normal site the past couple weeks now. I cleaned them all up and then dumped them in her cage. I started to lock her in her cage when myself or my husband aren't home but I hate to lock her in there, I know she likes her freedom to roam.
Any ideas or suggestions as to how to go about retraining her?
