Getting my hands on him has been a bit of a challenge ... I'll check again for sure when I get home. That rex fur is so thick, I think I miss things.
I was wondering about it, as I had read in an old post about a bite wound that had scabbed over, yet was infected...filled with pus. The person had to reopen the flesh and disinfect the wound... blaugh.

Clip the fur back if you can. Keep an eye on it and cross one bridge at a time... it's not infected now... you can use a cotton ball soaked in a Betadine solution to soften the scab a bit if there is fur stuck to it. But you don't want to use any ointment or slave on the scab. It has to heal on it's own, from the inside out.
