bunnies comming home today!

I have been lurking on here for years now and today I am finally going to pick up my rabbits! I am sooo excited I cant stand it! I have been doing research on them for a very long time so I should be all set up.

I am adopting a bonded pair of males on is a mini rex and the other might be a lion head Im not sure anyway they are coming from a woman who doesn't have kids anymore and just doesn't feel like they are getting as much attention as they diverse so I am taking them in and I couldnt be happier! I will definitely post some pictures when they are all settled in!

well that did not go over well with my landlords. Either they are going to charged me an extra 50 a month on my rent or they may just decided that we have to go. still waiting to hear back from them on that one.

I have two cats and a rat, that they are fine with, who knew that the rabbits would be the breaking point. hhrrrrummmph

ok so I didnt get evicted! phewww, but my rent is going up, I did some calculations and I think I am going to be ok though
alright on to the good stuff!

A friend of my brothers has been looking for a home for her rabbit "dash" for a while because her kids had all moved out and she just didnt have time for him anymore, and he was acting depressed. then a woman she knew who rescued rabbits gave her another rabbit that was pulled from a crappy situation. he is around 2 or 3 and a little skiddish but after 2 weeks he has bonded compleatly with dash. he doesnt have a name yet so Im open for suggestions, my favorite book is watership down so i have been pondering names from that!

this is dash he is a 3 yr old mini rex

the other guy doesn't have a name yet and I dont know what kind of rabbit he is, he has longish hair that is kinda brow and black at the same time, hes soft but not mini rex soft and he is bigger than dash. any idea what kind he is?

right now their cage is way too small (39Lx20Wx18H) but I have lots of c&c left over from my guinea pigs so I will be expanding it . also they were using kitty litter as litter and aspen as bedding I have a bag of unscented soft sorbet and I was going to pick up a bag of yesterdays news tomorrow (I work at a pet store hurray for employee discounts!)

today is their first day so I am letting the adjust before I go changing their world! but I plan on giving them 2-3 hours floor time

thank you all for the welcomes, unfortunately I should have gotten my rental agreement in writing because my landlords have now decided that the bunnies just have to go. fortunately I did find a really great home for them so they have moved and are doing really well in their new home. its not that my landlord is against rabbits, they actually said that they would rather I kept rabbits instead of my pet rat but with two cats and one rat already I cant have more than 3 pets and two rabbits was just pushing their pet limit. but like I said they went to a really great home so all in all im ok with it. I will just wait it out until the time is right.
