I've noticed thatthe Holland Lops that I've had as well as some at the shelter have hind feet that kind of point out to the side. Not when they are babies, but it sort of seems to develop as they get older. Even their toesseem to"lay down". I don't know, I can't seemto explain it right, butwondered if this is just normal to the breed.:ponder:

(sorry if this post is in the wrong place...please move it if it is, I tried to make my best guess:))

This is a conformation fault known as "cow hocks". (The hocks are turned inward, causing the toes to point out.) It is not desired in any breed, but more common in some breeds than others.

One way to check for conformation faults in the hind legs is to watch the rabbit as it hops away. The hind legs should be setwell apart and the rabbit's feet should track parallel to the body.
