Breed guess?

This is my cousins rabbit, he is about 6 months old as far as I know, and looks about 2 lbs. His coat feels sort of velvety. Any guesses? I've never been good at breeds, my best guess was a mini rex mix...... which is probably far off :?

Mini rex maybe. Please get rid of the cedar chips. They are very bad for small animals. You can go for kiln dried pine or aspen instead.

Yea, I had a little talk with my cousin about the cedar. He was an impulse buy and I don't think he ever read anything about rabbits. Somebody was selling rabbits in front of Walmart, all he was told was it was a mini rabbit.
