For larger breeds such as New Zealand and Checkered Giant, what is the recommended time period between the birth of a litter and the next time they should breed again? What's the minimum period of time? How soon does the doe return to ovulating again after giving birth? Thanks

Rabbits can be bred again right after having their litter but this IMO is very irresponsible. rabbits in a hard production program are bred 4 or more times a year but the reproductive life of your doe isn't going to be as long.

We breed our rabbit's 1-2 times a year and this gives them plenty of time to rest in between litters. 2-3 times a year is the norm I believe and most people will give them a rest in the summer because it's too hot

Agree, it isn't really dependent so much on the breed or size, but a guideline for any breeding rabbit, unless their in a commercial situation.
