Hi

I was just wondering, when is the best age forbaby rabbits toleave there mum, can they live with her up to 8 weeks, or is it best toseperate them earlier.

Bunnies are generally weaned at 6-8 weeks and should be separated by sex before the age of 12 weeks.

This is also what I do, but I've seperated sexes earlier if one seems to be humping or over grooming the others.

You can do it when you wean them, it doesn'treally matter, just be sure you don't let them be together if they areclose to three months old.

The kits can reach sexual maturity by 12 weeks of age, so they need to be separated before that time.
