As I mentionedthe other day,Ihad to take Barnaby to the vets as he wasnt eating. Well, he was takingthe recovery food very well.
Yesterday afternoon though he stopped taking the food. I got in touchwith the vets and they said to bring him down straight away.
I noticed while in the waiting room that he seemed to be very weak andeven though he was breathing fine and moving okay, he made theoccasional jerk. The vet said the only thing we could so was to gveBarnaby some antibiotics or alternatively she could refer me to aspecialist. She, my mum and I all personally though their might not beenough time so he was given antibiotics and I was told to take him homeand try and get small drops of food down him but often.
Unfortunately we were all right about their not being enough time andabout 15 minutes after we got home he had a siezure (sp) which lastedseconds and then he past straight after. We really dont know the actualcause but he was fine untill he stopped eating. I am going to phone thevet to let her know as she told me to give her a ring either way in themorning.

Barnaby, I cant believe I have lost you so soon after Cammie. I missyour bubbling so much. My only comfort is that you are at peace and areno longer suffering. Also you are with Cammie now, I could see youlooking around for her when she had gone and could no longer come outof her cage and run upto yours. Little Berty the guinea pig never gotto play with you. Mummy tried so hard to keep you with us, I just wishI could have done more for my little boy, I am so sorry...
Stay with Cammie and mummy will be with you again one day xxx
