Our big girl Lilli had to have some lop in her DNA--she doesn't have the lop head, but her ears stick out sideways with her left just a little higher. When she runs, she looks like and airplane taxiing for a takeoff, of course and airplane with a huge dewlap.

Most breeders won't include a pedigree for pets or culls. If you don't get a pedigree you cannot be sure whether it is purebred or mutt.

The photos on this page are obviously of mixed breed rabbits, so anything is possible.

It's all about genetics, including the weak earbase. Characteristics can show up anytime, even after quite a few generations. Getting one ear up and one down with a mixed breed is not at all unusual.

I am currently raising only Netherland Dwarfs but contemplating adding Mini Lops as another separate line.

I have two 8 week old bucks that are Ruby Eyed Whites. You have to go all the way back to their great, great, great grandparents to find any of this color which are albinos. Several Photos at http://www.rabbit-cages-and-hutches.com/jessie.html
