Any Tips For At-Home Nail-Trimming?

My bunny has gotten to that time where he needs a bit of a nail-trim, any tips before I do it?

I put lace around the paw as it brings the nails out and put they hair back so that the nails are exposed.

I've seen this done with a sock or knitted hat/scarf. Seems like it would work well!
