What an inspiration!

Most people who earn the MOH are awarded it post-humously. I guess Bill Crawford received it the same way (as they presented it to his parents when he was missing and presumed dead.) He has to be one of the only (if not THE only) who had it presented both while "dead" and in person.

It is so amazing how our opinion or perception of people makes so much impact on how they perceive themselves. We can literally elevate -or tear down - someone just by our attitude toward them. And that attitude starts right in our own head.

Whether we "see" something special about another person or not, each one is worthy of our utmost respect and kindness. One never knows what others have experienced in their lives. And, whether it was "heroic" or "worthy" matters not, because our attitude toward them makes a huge impact on their life from THIS moment on. Every child of God has a place in this world, and in His heart. They deserve a place in our heart, too.
