Ok, so my little pixie is healing nicely. So much so rust I thought I would have her get to know zoey again. They have only been separated for 2.5 weeks...
I put them in a neutral NIC little pen on the kitchen floor. I have a feeling that zoey is older than pixie, even though I bought them at the same time, I assumed they were litter mates as well.
I also think zoey may be a boy. I out them in the little pen, and zoey immediately sniffed pixies butt. I was immediately worried that she would bite her so I misted her with water. Then both bunnies were laying face to face no noise, no nothing, but just sniffing each others nose. I of course am worried the whole 2 minutes this is going on! I decide to take pixie and put her back in the aquarium but zoey decided to give her butt one more sniff and she had a small fluff of pixies tail fur in her mouth...pixie didn't squawk, so I'm not sure if she bit her....there is no blood or anything coming from pixie.
She is back in her aquarium now.
Are they most likely boy and girl? Will I ever get them back to where they were 2 weeks ago? Zoey would groom pixie all the time...
I can only assume that zoey has sexually matured in the last 2 weeks, but she didn't hump pixie...so can she still possibly be a girl? Would they sniff each others butt if they were both girls?
Thanks for any advice
