Afraid to get new Bun spayed

I was really scared, too. My bunny got spayed when she was around 3 I think, and I was deathly afraid she might die or her personality might change. I chose a vet that a local rabbit shelter recommended on their website as their go-to vet for spaying/neutering new rescues. I called them up...

Getting a second bunny? Need advice

I need some advice. I have a female mini lop named Mocha and she is about 3 years old but ever since she was adopted as a baby bunny she has never been with other bunnies. I've been thinking about adopting a second bunny so she could have a friend but I'm worried that it might be too late...

New house for Cookie & Fudge

^ Aw you are so nice and accommodating to your bunnies! I'm sure they appreciate it =) You could assure your husband that bunnies don't smell. Maybe because they're prey animals they don't have a strong smell that we humans can detect. Any smell that comes from having a bunny is things...

    Stupid dog lady

Happi Bun w Dogs just smell. =D I also agree with the post that said they hate how people inflict their dogs on us. Not everyone thinks dogs are cute, and a lot of people are bothered by the loud barking and over attention they give us. If a dog at the vet office frightened my bunny I would...

Oh your place looks like an amusement park for bunnies! I have a question though. Where did you buy those metal square mesh thingis? My mom bought those years and years ago and have been trying to find the same to make a custom made cage for my own bunny, but I'm not having much luck. At Bed...

Do bunnies care for the dark??

Lol, my bunny likes to go inside the closet because it's dark and cramped like a burrow. I guess it's ok to leave her in the dark then. She doesn't seem to mind, but I'm never too sure what she's thinking =D

Do bunnies care for the dark??

I have a bunny who has the whole living room to herself, lol. There isn't any furniture in it other than boxes I gave her to use as "caves." The room's bunny-proof so she's out most of the day playing by herself or with me. I was wondering if bunnies care for the dark? Can they see ok or do...

    Crust/matted fur around my bunny's mouth =(

Here's a pic. Please share it (no credit needed) if you think another bunny may have the same problem. For my bunny it took about 2-3 weeks to show any signs of healing and I expect it to be gone by the 4th or 5th week. I didn't change my bunny's diet, but always made sure she had plenty of hay...

    Crust/matted fur around my bunny's mouth =(

Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord, our prayers have been answered! I have an update for everyone. Since I last posted I have been tirelessly but fruitlessly searching for an answer. No luck, but Mocha's crusts are almost all gone! This is about the third week, so it seems that by next week she should...

    Crust/matted fur around my bunny's mouth =(

angieluv wrote: Oh, those poor things... luckily, Mocha's crusts don't look like that at all. They're more on the edges of her mouth and they don't look like the ones in the picture nor do the colors of teh crust match. But that's a good site for bunny diseases and I have it bookmarked already...

    Crust/matted fur around my bunny's mouth =(

SweetSassy wrote: Anything's possible, but I doubt it's her teeth. She isn't showing any of the typical symptoms of bunny dental disease, and she would have shown it by now if it was that. Also the last time she got it, it healed on its own. From what I know, dental disease or teeth problems...
