    Pain meds for neuter?

Bunny (The name stuck, lol) finally has his teeth on a routine cutting schedule and his sniffles are gone completely. He's being scheduled for a neuter not this week, but the next. Should I insist on pain meds if they don't send them home?

Resolved: Re-home Holland/mix? in SW Ohio.

We've got it all sorted out. Me and my partner were layed off for awhile. But she's been hired back on at her old job, withouta pay cut (So at her old pay), and with full time hours. So things are going to get a lot better. My mother has also told me that she wants to keep Fresca as her own...

Resolved: Re-home Holland/mix? in SW Ohio.

Not really. Nobody has shown any interest. If I can't find her a home, I'll have to keep her. I just feel bad that she doesn't get as much time as possible.

Resolved: Re-home Holland/mix? in SW Ohio.

I'm not sure of any rescues in my area that may be able to take her. I have had a lot of serious personal issues come up in the last couple days. And with these developments, and other recent events, I'm afraid I will not have enough time for her, nor a place for her to go. She is unaltered...

    Meat Rabbits? Questions.

Well... I try to stay off craigslist, but I'm kind of a sucker. I was looking in the farm and garden section (You can get local, good quality hay for a couple dollars for a huge bale of timothy and/or orchard grass). The topic was: Young Meat Rabbits $5 :nerves1 So... I popped in and read it...

    Please help im desperate

I usually stay out of debates, and just lurk, but I have to put my two cents in on the Hartz train here. My very amazing exotics vet told me to NEVER under ANY circumstances use Hartx or Seargantz brand ANYTHING. In our area, there was a very big scare with their products a few years back...

    Help name Me!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that bunny kind of looks like he has a dewlap in the second pic. And don't only females have a dewlap?

Bunnies Living Outside? Advice needed, please?

Those hutches are really cool! Our neighbor has a Jack Russel who I haven't seen loose, but I'll count him as a predator. And a raccoon, but are raccoons a threat to bunnies? If you think they aren't sturdy enough, then I'll definitely use hutches. We already have one, I just like the look...

Bunnies Living Outside? Advice needed, please?

Hello, it's been forever since I've posted on here. I've since gotten a second bunny, and both of my girls are indoors currently. I live in Ohio, and the weather is getting warmer, and I hear a lot of people talking about their bunnies living outside, and being perfectly fine. And a lot of...

Can someone make sure I'm doing this right?

Thanks so much! I'll definitely look into the Oxbow. That's the type of timothy hay I'm feeding, and my local Petland carries it. And she thanks you for the compliments. :]

Can someone make sure I'm doing this right?

I stand corrected. The diet she's on is LabDiet: http://www.labdiet.com/ And it IS an alfalfa based product, which I wasn't aware of. I've not had her long, and am just feeding the food she came with, which was in a big bag. The Chin that I got from the same place is on Mazuri, so I assumed...

Can someone make sure I'm doing this right?

I can cut down on fruit. She doesn't get very much. And she doesn't get alfalfa. The pellets are Mazuri.

Can someone make sure I'm doing this right?

My bunny is getting the same amount of food she was getting when I got her. She gets 1/3 cup pellets each day. And she gets unlimited hay. She was on orchard grass when I got her, but it had A LOT of very prickly bits, so I have her on timothy hay now. She also gets veggies, and small amounts of...

    Bonding unspayed bunnies?

If the bunnies are older, do the hormones affect them in the same way? Like, my bun is 4, and the new bun is approx. 1 or so. Theyve already passed the hormonal stage, right? I understand that they may still fight, and I AM going to get them spayed, but I am curious. Is it harder or easier...

    Cranberries

I can find them at Meijer, Wal Mart, and Kroger in the fresh section in the fall and eary winter. They still have them right now, actually. Other than that, I just buy frozen. My bun isn't too fond of them after a bit, but will nibble for awhile. I actually buy them for my rats, who love...

can puppies (staffy) get along with rabbits?

Staffy's are actually intensely sweet, loveably lap dogs. I would actually be more worried if he were getting a smaller terrier dog such as a Jack Russel. Or even a Cocker. Wait and see the puppy's temperament, and make sure you know your bun well. My dog is a lab/Pitt mix, and he gets...

    Bonding unspayed bunnies?

I did check in with the shelter about the mobile unit's success rate. They've never lost a rabbit save for one, and they spay and nueter a lot. The one who did pass was a complication due to an allergic reaction to the anesthesia, not the nueter itself.

    Bonding unspayed bunnies?

Thank you for the assurance. I've never had to have a rabbit spayed before. I've actually never owned a female rabbit before. They were always my mothers rabbits when I was younger, and they were usually male. The more I read on the site, and the more I've talked to the Humane Society...
