    Rabbits getting along with cats/kittens

Hi, I have a 4yr old male dwarf bunny, and I am thinking about getting a kitten/cat. Does anybody have experience with cats and rabbits....do they often get along? Does it make a difference if the cat is male or female? I know that leaving them alone together is not a good idea at all, but I'd...

    British Columbia Rabbit Savvy Vets

Yea, that's kinda the impression that I got from both Dr. Archek and Dr. Hughson (although they both said they had experience with rabbits...) I have seen both of them with my rabbit in the past week, since Dr. Brondwin is away, and while I don't know how extensive their rabbit experience is, I...

    British Columbia Rabbit Savvy Vets

Does anybody know about Dr. Archek and Dr. Hughson, who are both at the Arbutus Clinic? Are they good with rabbits? Have any experience? I usually see Dr. Brondwin there, but he is out of town for a while. Also, with Dr. Martinez, what are his rates? Thanks!!

Bunny's leg not working well after being under anasthesia

So I just called Dr. Martinez (his housecall phone number) and I told him the whole story, and he thinks that it is likely due to the subcutaneous fluids they gave him, he thinks they probably gave him too much, and that is what the fluidy-sacs are, and that itll just take longer for them to...

Bunny's leg not working well after being under anasthesia

Took him back today, the vet thinks it is inflamed soft tissue, she felt for fractures/breaks and didn't find any. He also had the fluidy-sac in the area of the arm. And now I just discovered a second fluidy-sac under his stomach area, I'm freaking out here, I don't know what is wrong with him...

Bunny's leg not working well after being under anasthesia

Yea, I thought about that too, as he was quite unstable when I brought him home, so he may have fallen on it, or twisted it funny or something...in which case it's not necessarily a big concern, it will just take time to heal... he does put it down a little when he is sitting/standing, but keeps...

Bunny's leg not working well after being under anasthesia

I wasn't given any pain meds to take home, which I didn't think about until the vet was closed....but I am going to call first thing in the morning and see if it's something he might need still. He eats a little every once in a while, and will drink water/pedialyte eagerly It's mainly just that...

Bunny's leg not working well after being under anasthesia

Hi, So I took my rabbit, Wally, into the vet today, he had to get his molars filed because they had spurs on them, so they put him under anasthetic and did the procedure, which went fine. I took him home about an hour after he initially came out of it, as I had to go to work and wouldn't be done...
