    RABBIT NEEDING TRANSPORT IN OHIO

Where are you Chel? We're in Columbus.

    Carpet advice?

Love the pattern, Drunken Bunny! You guys give great advice. I think we'll try some carpet AND the mats for our buns. I think they will enjoy the carpet in their cages for some extra comfort, and something to tug. We provide them with edible tiki huts made out of hay and the chew-alfalfa...

    Carpet advice?

Thanks, Kellyjade. We've had no problems with the buns actually eating the carpet - it's more of a paranoia we have. They don't seem to pull it and sit there chewing, it's more a dig, tug and run thing but I didn't know how many little individual carpet fibers are actually being ingested...

    Spoiled bunny syndrome?

EDIT: I just answered my own question... nevermind!

    Carpet advice?

We are well aware that digging, chewing and pulling is a bunny’s natural instinct and mannerism. We were also told to not stop our lionheads from chewing, digging and pulling but to provide them with something they can chew, dig and pull on otherwise. We’ve done that and it’s not working...

    Change of Color?

By the way, I'm aware that they change someone in color, length and texture as they get older, but we didn't expect this much of a change. I guess it may depend on the bunnies' genes, too.

when do the "teenage years" begin

angieluv wrote: I think you hit it right on the head there! I know for a fact Moses was the alpha bun so that might have something to do with his behavior now that he's by himself. He has a stuffed dog bone that we bought for him since he always needs to lay up against something and groom it...

    Change of Color?

Is it normal for lionheads, or any other rabbit, to change length of fur and color? That is one thing I've not come across in books or heard/seen anyone else discuss yet. Our lionheads, Moses and General Snarf Lee have changed tremendously since we first got them. Moses bear is growing much...

when do the "teenage years" begin

This thread has actually been a big help to me as well. I logging onto my computer with the intent to post a new thread asking for help about a change in our bunnies' behavior. Our bunny brothers are 8 months old now, almost 9 months. The vet fixed them at 5 months. They got along fine until...

    RIP New Hope

Oh, Peg, your post brought tears to my eyes. RIP New Hope. You know he's in a much better place, already making another little bunny lover happy. I feel your pain... *hugs*

    Fighting and Re-introducing

Hi Bunnicula (great name, by the way!). Your story was more than helpful to me and you are right in that we should do what's best for the bunnies, not the humans! I can't not try to see if they'll rebond first, hopefully without the severe wounds you dealt with when you tried to rebond yours...

Thanks, Jess! Photos have been posted in the other forum within the lionhead thread, but here are my boys anyway. Moses is the brown, General Snarf Lee is the charcoal.

    Fighting and Re-introducing

Thanks, Senior. When we took them to the vet to get neutered she showes us how to clip them. We bought good smaller clippers and tried ourselves at home a few times but we were so afraid of hurting them. Your ideas about the car rides are great. We're going to get to that tonight and hope for...

    Fighting and Re-introducing

That's actually quite helpful, Pipp. I thought about what you said but none of it falls into our scenario, like new pets or people in the mix. I'm so baffled at what would have made them change so quickly. You mentioned the bunny ball is actually worse than them "tussling"? We've had so many...

Hello from the Columbus, OH area!

Thanks, Peg! I posted some photos of our lionhead furbabies in your lionheads photo thread. That was right after we got them. They're both twice as big now, but look exactly the same. I love our little guys.
