    Happy bunny life

They have access to at least 48 ft square at all time. Then have 105ft square during the day. The shed is made of planks of wood 1 inch thick and then there is chicken wire round that. I am very careful what they eat and follow leading vet podcast guidelines. she looks happy and binkys and runs...

    Happy bunny life

I leave them with the hutch door open from 8am until it gets dark or really cold. I have even put a roll of turf out for them. It’s just they are nosey. The shed has wooden walls with Weeney gaps in and the roof is see through so there is plenty of light (and yes we have covers for if it’s too...

should I be worried? Rabbit created hole through bed sheet..

I’ve got a chewer. Boxes, cages, etc. she got really ambitious at one point and tried to take out a 6ft Welsh dresser. I buy cheap cardboard box toys online covered in carrot and hay. One a week and I get to keep my furniture. Shopping for the best toys or getting inventive at home can save a...

    Happy bunny life

I’ve got a bonded brother and sister (1 litter apart). My girl is 12 months n boy 9. Both snipped at 7 and 4 months respectively n they are injected. Neither is dominant but he is normally a laid back coward and she is quite adventurous. If either isn’t happy they stick their head under the...

HELP! Poor potty behaviour after neutered

I have a boy and a girl. Both snipped. Millie was toilet trained by 4 months and never makes a mistake she is super clean and tidy. Peanut, her younger brother will be a year old in July and does loo hiding spots. He got neutered at 4 months old and he’s more interested in playing and running...

Rabbit producing too many cecotropes, should I be worried?

Oh guys I am so so sorry. We’ve been to 3 vets and only 1 of the 3 seemed to have any practical experience. The first one couldn’t even tell the gender of an adult girl (you can’t miss testicles realistically). I think if you love your pets and they know that you care. that is the most...

Not sure whether my lion head has a double or single mane

These are millie and peanut. Both lionhead crosses (dad is a lionhead, mum is a lop lionhead cross). We thought his fur would moult and he would look more like her…but it hasn’t happened yet. They are 10 months and 8 months but their back paws are huge and he can really really jump high.

My Rabbit Ate Clumping Cat Litter

Our vet listens to their stomachs with a stethoscope to see if there are gurgling noises. She has also given them medicine to make them feel more hungry after an operation. But as their stomachs are so delicate I’d go to a vet. It costs about £30 a shot where I live, but definitely worth it.

    Finding your rabbit a friend

After Millie decided that Molly was awful, we tried to introduce her to a few other buns, both fixed and unfixed, boys and girls. She disliked them all. We almost gave up. As a last ditch attempt we took her back to the first breeder and we put Millie back with her own mum (to see if she saw all...

    Finding your rabbit a friend

I bought a girl bun, Millie. I thought she might get lonely so very quickly bought her half sister (the breeder only had one half sister left). It went badly wrong…it was handbags at dawn and within a week Molly had to go back and the breeder has kept her, because she was a lovely little bunny...

    Merry Christmas from Tigs ❤️🎄

I have 2 buns, a boy and girl, same parents but different litters. Colour wise and facially they are identical, except she has vertical ears and his are more of a lop style. Very different personalities though, she can be a bit stroppy but is very affectionate and he’s just a typical boy who...

    Lionhead brush recommendations?

This is my lionhead cross, Peanut. He loves to dig in the mud, dive into hay and any number of other messy activities. I have a hugely wide tooth, but slightly soft, comb that I use to just get straw and mess out of his fur and a proper rabbit grooming brush from a pet shop. The rubber over the...

    Rabbit treats I made

I use cheap boxes of bunny treats (twigs, hessian balls, alfalfa sticks etc) that you can buy on amazon for £10 for a box full, then I get cotton string and a bit of carrot or whatever and tie them all together as a hanging chew toy treat. My friend gets tubes of safe cardboard, puts a smidge of...

Housing rabbits separately, looking for advice.

Clean tick, fed tick and cared for tick. That’s more than some pets get and the fact that you are already thinking about how you can best split your time shows you are an amazing owner. I made the mistake of letting 2 hormonal unfixed half sisters be in the same garden in their own hutches/runs...

Help! Need gender help for bunnies!

To see when they are 3 months if they have a slit or a cross is tricky I think. So sorry to be blunt, but we got our boy at 3 months and even then he had a testicle on the inside of each hind leg that we could feel (humans have all of their male equipment very close together, make rabbits bits...
