    Dog/Cat help!

I looked to see if they have sensor feeders, which they may have but I have never seen them. But this guy made one! http://www.instructables.com/id/RFID-pet-feeder/

    Dog/Cat help!

Feeding the dog separately on a schedule is probably the easiest option however I understand your dog may not like that too much. You could even do a timed feeder that had 2 compartments that automatically open during the day. The only thing I can think of is to put a sensor dog door on a...

    Creepy staircase ?!

Ok, when I was in middle school I used to keep my horse at a boarding farm and a girl my age lived there and we were good friends. Everyone would comment on how the house was haunted on the farm. It was always mentioned how doors would slam, footsteps were heard, etc. I would never go into the...

~Craigslist thread: what are you looking at?

I look through the pet section as well even though my husband would kill me if I got another pet. I also look at petfinder to make sure my dogs breed is never posted as I would swoop that dog up in a second even if my husband never talked to me again. I was looking today and saw this post of...

    Creepy staircase ?!

Thankfully nothing like that! When I was pet sitting I would have to stay nights sometimes at peoples homes and it totally freaked me out. I would ask them straight out when doing the walk through if they had any unusual things that I should know about so I did not go running from the house if I...

Where do you get your Bunny Food?

My sister has horses so I pick up and pay for things here and there from the store when I am out and in return she gives me hay. I usually get 2 flakes at a time which last me almost 2 months (spot is not a huge hay eater). I buy the pellets at a local farm store that sells very large bags for...

    Nail clipping help!

The quick is going to be different lengths on every bunny. If you cut the nails frequently the quick should be a bit shorter than those who don't get cut frequently. I would just take off the points and you should be fine. I agree that you should do pressure to see if the bun reacts and if not...

Anti-Slip stickers for slippery tile- safe?

Can you turn the tile upside down? Usually the floor tiles have a very rough bottom but it should still be pretty cool to the touch. The other option is to get a tile that is tumbled and maybe not so slippery. Sore hocks is not the only concern. Slick floors can cause issues with joints as...

    Smelly bun

My bun smells like body odor or like an onion if he is stressed out. Once my cat was chasing him and after I got the situation under control I noticed a strong body odor smell coming from his back area. It was pretty strong. At first I thought it was me because I have never smelt anything on him...

    Where to put a cage?

How warm does that fireplace get? Buns can overheat really easily if it is too warm near the cage. Once the temp near the cage gets over 75 degrees F you need to keep an eye out. I believe 80 degrees is getting into the danger zone. Both my buns cages are on the floor.

    Picky on toys-PLEASE READ

This just gave me an idea to make a DIY food dispenser with all this leftover cardboard from Christmas! Actually, I think I may also try to make one out of the big basket of plastic Easter eggs I have sitting in storage.

Spot finally found the kitchen....and the crumbs

Well, he finally did it. He ventured into the kitchen and now he does not want to come out! Today is day 2. I let him out for his free roam time and he made a beeline for the kitchen remembering what goodies he must have found yesterday! I have 3 kids so the crumbs do fall but I also have a dog...

can a cat and a rabbit be friends?

My cat loves my bunny but he looks at him more like a cat and wants to play with him like a cat. Spot just sits there and could care less about my cat but I still monitor them when spot is out free roaming. If my cat seems to be getting too crazy I bring out the cat toy and burn off some energy...

Does bunny poop leave a residue behind?

LOL! I was thinking that my husband shoes (which he keeps forgetting to take off before entering the house) are probably dirtier then Spots poops! I think just the shear amount that he was dropping was a bit shocking to my husband who seriously does not see the stray poops that I pick up when he...

    Litter training

Whenever my bun has accidents it is either because 1. I left him alone in a room (for some reason when he free roams unsupervised he will pee on the floor but if we are there he goes and uses the box). 2. He has too much space too quickly. For example every time I put him in a new area...

Does bunny poop leave a residue behind?

Not sure exactly when he was neutered. He was in a shelter where he was on the PTS list and a rescue took him from that shelter and moved him to another where another rescue took him from there. The last shelter he was in has a mandatory spay/neuter policy but the rescue did not know if they...

Does bunny poop leave a residue behind?

He is neutered. He only really poops in places he is really comfortable. Like his cage and pen he will leave some (nothing crazy) poops scattered around each day (maybe like 5 poops in 12hrs). When he is free roaming he really only poops in my daughters bedroom and the family room. Those are the...

Does bunny poop leave a residue behind?

So Spot is pretty good about not pooping when he is running around but in the evening shortly after dark he will sit on our family room carpet and I will see him (I think) eating his cecotropes as he reaches down then I see his mouth going like he is chewing. The problem is when he does decide...
