Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

So after a visit to the vet this morning they have put Larry on baytril and will see him again on tues. The problem is, I feel like we are back to square one. He seems grumpy, off his food and because he free roams I'm not sure how much water he has drank. There seems less poops around (not...

Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

Thanks jbun yes he has returned into the little poop machine we know and love. There is plenty of fresh hay, veg and pellets out for him tonight. I will mention the pain relief to the vet tomorrow, and I'm sure she checked his teeth but I will ask her to check them again. She seemed pretty...

Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

I checked Larry's litter tray and after discovering no poop I got him an emergency appointment with the vet. He had some antibiotics for the sneezing and some more meds to get his gut moving. They checked his glucose levels and they seem happy there isn't a blockage. He needs a follow up...

Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

Thank you. He is still eating, I'm hand feeding hay and he is eating a little, he also has eaten half a green cabbage leaf. I'm going to keep a close eye on him tonight and call our vet first thing in the morning. The biting isn't constant he does keep letting me tickle behind his ears but I'm...

Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

Thanks j bun. Thought of everything, only the Christmas tree really that is different, but that's too high up for him to reach. All poop seems normal and firm, no crusty paws. I removed all pellets and left him with just hay and water. All day he has been fine but I've just tried to stroke...

Advice please. Really worried about my bunny

I'm not sure what's wrong with him but my bunny seems off. He keeps sneezing, 4-5 times in a row and the e just flops over into the death pose. He seems a little grumpy but otherwise ok. He has plenty of hay and water and a few pellets. But I'm worries he might have eaten something. Or might...

Do your rabbits hate walking on floors?

It's better than putting her on her back because that really freaks her out. I still feel bad though because I know she must be scared in there. However when it comes to Larry I have to put him on his back or he would be biting an jumping all over the place

Do your rabbits hate walking on floors?

Ha ha ha I think the same, because generally Bram is a diva, she hates been cuddled, and she will kick up a stink if you try. But when she is in that room she won't move off my lap, and I think oh finally we are bonding. Then once she back out of there she's running around flicking her feet and...

Do your rabbits hate walking on floors?

Larry doesn't care, but bramble hates laminate floor in our bedroom, she just refuses to go in there. I only ever take her in there to clip her nails, because she won't budge off my lap

a few rabbit behavior questions from a newbie!

I think the licking is that he's grooming her, I'm sure I've read somewhere it's a sign of affection. Larry does it sometimes but only if he is being groomed or wants something.

    Craigslist rabbit

I sure there are lots of bunnies that are loved and cared for, one of ours was a rescue. Not through CL though we don't have that in the UK. The other stuff said about people eating them or dog baiting, it doesn't even bear thinking about. It's horrible. Those poor bunnies :( xxx

my bunnies dont eat much hay

Ha ha they certainly are our bosses, I haven't tried a hay rack yet so maybe I will give that a try and see what happens if I move their pellets during the day (although really they dont eat many of them) Thanks Middlemuse I have tried using different methods toilet tubes etc, I agree with you...

my bunnies dont eat much hay

Thank you, I have tried a couple of different types. Maybe I just have fussy eaters, they are always trying to eat stuff they shouldn't, tea bags are the worst, Larry will knock over the bin to get at them! After Bramble was spayed she stopped eating, even soaked pellets. The vet prescribed...

my bunnies dont eat much hay

Larry was a rescue, I think he is about 2 and Bram is 18months. Pellets are limited they also have fresh veg at night (small quantities) I change the hay daily and I also fill toilet tubes/cardboard boxes with hay every other night. I've tried stopping the pellets, but they still refuse to eat...
