    Are veggies necessary

LakeCondo wrote: The LOL, indicates laughter. Thus not serious. This is a rabbit forum, not a child care forum. I was obviously looking for rabbit information, not child care information. For those actually trying to help. I did try cilantro, she wouldn't touch it. Have offered mixed greens...

    We're out of pellets...

Guinea Pigs need Vit C as they can't produce their own. Rabbits can produce their own Vitamin C. That is why they should have their own food, guinea pigs may eventually get sick on rabbit pellets, as they will not get the needed Vit C. HTH

    Are veggies necessary

LakeCondo wrote: Oh my goodness!! I was joking!!!! :P No, everyone in my house does not scorn vegetables! Yes, my kids the same as most kids I know, would prefer junk food to healthy food. They also know that is not going to happen! We already do grow a huge garden every summer. Which my kids...

    Are veggies necessary

Do rabbits really need to eat veggies? Our new bunny finds veggies quite yucky!! LOL She will eat an occasional piece apple or carrot and that is about it! If it is green forget it, her and the kids have the same opinion of green veggies. LOL She devours her hay and pellets no problem. We give...

    Rescue Rabbit

shawnwk1 wrote: So sorry you lost your bunny so quickly, that's awful.:sosad They just spayed her on Mon, so I am keeping a close eye on her. Today she seems nice and alert, very inquisitive. She hasn't really eaten more than a few bits of hay yet, so I am watching her food closely. She has...

    Rescue Rabbit

We did end up getting one of the rescue bunnies! She has to be one of the sweetest bunnies, I have ever seen. She is around 9 mo., she is at least part netherland dwarf, she has the head and ears of one. She was an owner surrender, there were several others, owner had too many rabbits. But, it...

    Rescue Rabbit

I was looking but all the rescues seem to be on the other side of the state. People seem to forget that there is a great big state away from NYC! LOL I did find 2 rabbits that are fostered not too far from here, but both were larger breeds. My daughter really wants to go look at them, but I am...

    Rescue Rabbit

These bunnies are not fostered, they are at the SPCA, so they may not be able to tell me much. I'm not actually a huge fan of the SPCA, even though I guess they do the best they can with a limited budget. These bunnies all came in on the 12th, so I'm assuming the same litter. I guess its a...

    Rescue Rabbit

Wanted to get peoples thoughts about a rescue rabbit. I'm a little leary as a few years ago my dh decided to bring home a bunny, as a surprise "gift" for me.:rollseyes At the time my kids were 1, 4, 7, yes a bunny was just what I needed! LOL He got it from a Petstore, but you could tell it...

    Temperature Ranges

A laundry, storage or mud room sounds lovely! LOL Family of 5 in 1250 sq ft., space is at a premium! Every inch of space is utilized! We even built loft beds, to utilize upward space! LOL The cage we have is 18 in W x 48 in L x 48in H, technically a ferret cage. We are designing a shelf to...

    Temperature Ranges

Her room technically is made up for 2 small rooms, so the rabbit could be moved to the non sleeping side. Unfortunately there is not really any place else in the house where a cage that size could go. Maybe we will think about rearranging the family room? But I know she would prefer to have...

Where to buy calendula cream (in person)?

I'd try to find a health food store. Some of of the big chain stores may have it, but it will probably have alot of junk in it also. Stuff you probably don't want bunny ingesting.

Where to buy calendula cream (in person)?

If you can't find it, it is very easy to make! Most health food store will have the petals in bulk. Put in a saucepan or crockpot add enough olive oil to cover and let steep on low heat for several hours. If using crockpot, I put on low for 24 hours. Strain thru cheesecloth. Either use as is for...

    Temperature Ranges

Hi, My daughter is looking for a bunny, either a lop ear or lion head. I was wondering about temperature changes? I'm assuming since alot of people do keep them outside they can handle a large range, but just want to double check. Her bedroom has no central heat, so during the day in the winter...
