    Thumping in the night

I have 3 bunnies that I have recently bonded and are all now living together, 2 are polish dwarfs and 1 is a french lop. they are extremely happy together, and spend a lot of time grooming each other. However, The french Lop, Button, used to be a real lover of thumping in the night. when we...

    bobbing head?

My little boy Bobbin (named after a piece of haberdashery not because of the head) Is always bobbing his head. He's almost one and has done it since we got him. I wouldn't worry about it. x

When did you know that your bunny had bonded with you?

Only 3 of my buns have bonded with me, Button is my big baby and he licks me all the time. He'll come running over when I go to feed him. Bobbin just loves being cuddled and Toots is blind in 1 eye poor thing so I'm not sure if he likes being picked up or just doesn't always see me coming! The...

What do you do that offends your bunny?

Oh I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who has a rabbit that is offended by the dustpan and the dustpan brush. Both Bobbin and Button HATE them. It's a little funny, but quite annoying when they pull it out of my hands and it's full of poo, then the poo is thrown around the cage!! Thimble...

Slave new home so new start for the bunnies

Hi everyone. My husband and I have just moved into a house with a big back garden. At the moment the poor bunnies are stuck living in the shed with a nice run about in the house at night, but I really need to get a new house built too. They are outside bunnies, but what we're planing on...

    Me and Humphrey :)

Welcome to RO, It really is a fantsastic forum with a lot of lovely, friendly, helpful people. I joined in November when I had an accidental pregnancy and got a lot of help. Although my poor Thimble was a bit young to be a mum at 8months and sadly 3 of the kits didn't survive. I now have Toots...

How did you come up with your bunny's name?

Button was my first rabbit and he is a French Lop. when I got him at 8 weeks he was already massive. I said to my mum he's as cute as a Button and that stuck! Bobbin and Thimble I got about a year later and I wanted to carry on the Haberdashery theme. Plus Bobbin bobs his head a lot! Then...

    Odd head movement...

A friend of mine had a REW Lionhead and she did exactly the same thing. They were told it may be neurological, but she never had any issues. It was almost like she was in a trance and she'd snap out of it every now and then. A bit sick but they nicknamed her radar as that's what she looked...

    Bald spot behind the neck

My rabbit got mites, but he had bald spots right at the bottom of his back and all around it were patches of shorter hair where he'd chewed it. Has your rabbit had any major stress in the last few days? Could it be alopecia? as a long shot? Whenever I get stressed (my wedding last year and...

    Hi :)

pinkluwink wrote: I Disagree, as Yield said rabbits in fact live in family groups, usually with a dominant breeding male and female. There will be the odd satalite male that will roam between family groups hoping for a bit of action, but usualy they would be more than happy to join a group...

I'm kinda new to the site, I joined whenThimble became pregnant by accident by my other rabbitt Bobbin (I was more than a little bad with my dates!) But anyhow I'm re-introducing myself as the 2 babies that survived from the litter were "supposed" to be given away to new loving families...

4 week old baby has a cloudy patch on it's eye

Thanks everyone. I took it to the vets and they put a dye in it's eyes anad have said it's not an infection or anythin on the ouside of the eye so it's in the make up of the eye. the poor little thing is partially blind. Apparantly it can see some things, but just not where the patch is. Oh...

4 week old baby has a cloudy patch on it's eye

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not, but I noticed last night that one of my 4 week old baby bunnies has a small coudy patch on its eye. Does anyone know what it could be? Do I need to get them to a vet?

are they too young to explore at 2.5weeks?

My baby bunnies are 2.5 weeks old and have started to get quite active. One seems very much more advanced than the other and this morning I found it in the downstairs part of the hutch with mum! Mum seemed quite distressed that it was down there and it couldn't get back up the ramp. baby number...
