Having trouble giving penicillin injections to bunny

Yeah I heard they did a study and like 80% of rabbits carry it in their lungs. It's the weaker ones that show symptoms.

Having trouble giving penicillin injections to bunny

Yes it can go dormant, all I was saying is that it cannot actually be cured. Just trying to help :)

JadeIcing wrote: This is true, I think what the other poster meant was that although most rabbit illnesses can be cured, snuffles cannot. Hearing the symptoms it doesn't sound like snuffles to me, but just for future reference. Snuffles can be a nasty thing to deal with too :(

is a bunny better off solo or in a pair?

Rabbit's are solitary animals, even in the wild the only time two will come together is to mate. So your little guy will be fine on his own. But if you really did feel he was lonely you could give it a try. Good luck

    X New to RO

I too was a breeder, I recently decided it wasn't for me. But I too agree culling is an important topic to discuss. Maybe we could have a seperate part of the forum for that sort of stuff? So people can feel more welcome? Just a thought.

    californian or netherland dwarf?

She could be a pure bred, just a poor quality one is all. She does look like a ND to me, just not a great one. California's are much much larger than Nethies, which is why they are a meat breed, it's hard to tell just by pictures, is she large? How much does she weight?

    Rabbit beds

I'd recomend just building one out of wood, that way he can chew it and use it as a hide away :)

    I need help!!

I agree tell her why. If she doesn't listen put a lock on it, if that doesn't work sell the rabbit, if you really think it's stressing out the rabbit it's best for it to have a safer home :)

7 week old wanting to mate his sister!!

seperate them. The more they hump eachother the more they will rip eachothers fur out doing so. They may also become agressive towards eachother. 6-7 weeks is when I usually seperate mine, so this is normal.

So there arent any stores around here that sell water bottles big enough for rabbits, they're more like hampster sized. Does anyone know of any online stores (in canada) that sell water bottles big enough for rabbits? THANKS!

very promising, nice overall bodt, good depth, the ears need to be shorter but they will probably balance better with the body once he matures :)

Confused about my rabbit's breed (pictures in here)

OakRidgeRabbits wrote: I agree, he looks like he's a mini rex/ netherland dwarf cross. And that is a very common cross you'll see around. That would be my guess anyway.
