Hi
Tommorow we r leaving for a weekend in upstate NY. We r taking Lola with us so she can go outside a little bit. I got a leash for her and bunny harnes but she refuse to wear it. I tryed to do this but she is not happy. I bough her also a small sweater bc it should be cold but I don't think it will happen. We r taking her cage with us so she can feel comfortable. I will seat with her in back seat in a car. If you have a tips about trips with bunny and first outside walk pls let me know.

The leash training thing can be really hard. Baisically what you want to do is allow her to go were she wants dont drag her or restrict her. Most of my bunnies dont like the leads so good luck with yours :)
Try rewarding her for not chewing at the harness.

If you mean she's going to be loose in the car, I don't think I'd do that. She'll feel safer in her cage.

Outside time should be where the yard hasn't been treated with pesticides, even last fall,& where there aren't wild rabbits to get diseases/parasites from their droppings.

Some rabbits travel well, for others it can be very stressful to them. Stress can effect eating and pooping habits. So do be careful.

If she hasn't ever had a leash and then all of a sudden her first trip, that might be alot for her to take on.

Also, rabbits tolerate cold very well. No need for a sweater. Overheating a rabbit can be dangerous and rabbits usually don't do good with collars or things on them, like clothes. And again, leash training can take some time.

Follow your gut with what she can tolerate. Have a good trip!

So we r back:) she was totally fine. She sit on my lap all the way upstate an back home. She felt fine. I took her two time outside on a leash and I'm not saying he was ok with for te first time but the second time she didn't bothered to be on it. She jumps around and I had to run after her:) everyone loves her and were surprised it was a rabbit:) I'm planing to take her to the beach for a walk this weekend.

That's great! So glad Lola & everyone had a great weekend & didn't mind the travel! I'm hoping to get my bunnies a harness soon so they can get used to it. Glad it went so well for you & Lola!
