Hi! i'm getting a bonded pair later today
i've heard of people putting a shirt that they've worn recently to get the bunnies used to your scent, does that work? Is there anything else i could do?

I’m not sure how much that would actually help, but there’s no reason that you can’t try (that I can think of). I would not recommend using a shirt that you like, however, because rabbits LOVE to chew stuff up. Also, since they probably will shred it, watch to make sure they don’t eat a bunch of it.

So exciting! I used an old blanket for mine but a shirt would also work just as well, Find out their favorite treat, What I would do is I would either pick my bunny up or just pet them and after that I give them a treat for it so that they relate good things with being pet and after a while they will look forward to being pet and they won't expect a treat 😄
I also have a little outdoor pen I set up that I sit down with my buns in it, they love to binky, eat grass, and crawl all over me, honestly it's so adorable and it's a great way to bond with your bun. I'm sure I'll think up of some other things to help bond with your bunnies but I hope that helps for now. Have fun with your bunnies and try not to rush things 🤗

The best way to help your rabbits become comfortable with you and to gain their trust, is sitting with them in their pen or in a smallish area/room(so they can't just run off and avoid interaction), and just sit reading, etc. Allow them to approach you when they're ready. They will eventually, as rabbits tend to be curious once they know they're safe.

Especially don't try picking them up, as this can affect their ability to trust you. In a rabbits eyes, being picked up is what predators do. The rare exception would be if you have a rabbit that crawls into your arms insisting on being held and getting pets. Or a rabbit that learns to trust you to pick them up, on their terms.
