My bunnies were neutered today. My white bunny Loki is recovering quicker than my brown one Link. Loki is eating a bit of hay and he ate a bit of greens and has been pooping a lot. His eyes look alert. Link is not recovering as fast. He looks very drowsy still. He ate a bit of romaine lettuce and a few pellets and a bit of hay. He has been pooping as well but he looks soooo tired and miserable. I gave him some critical care because I am a bit worried about him.

This is normal, no rabbit is going to be their completely old selves on the very day of surgery. You need to give them time to recover and just make sure their digestive tract is moving.

Thank you for observing their poo output, and offering hay and food to stimulate appetite after the anesthesia and surgery.

Does Link's incision line look okay? Is there bruising around his sacs or bleeding? You are a very attentive mom to the boys.

Link looks much better today. There is no bleeding. I think his incision looks ok as far as I can tell. He is still a bit tired but he is eating and pooping and peeing. Loki is pretty much back to normal.

My two where totally different mini was so tired for days and he’d to be given meds for guts and rabbit was back to normal before bedtime the same day... guess they are just like people all different but similar.
