Should I neuter my male bunny if he doesn’t have a female bunny partner?

What are the benefits to him? I know he’ll mark his territory less and not spray but that’s a benefit for me since I don’t have to clean it up. But I don’t want to neuter him just for my benefit since I don’t think that’s fair. I have an appointment scheduled for Thursday to neuter at his vet but I’m getting cold feet...

How old is he? Some rabbits get really problematic habits with the onset of hormones. Others don't seem to show any noticeable difference in behavior. If your boy isn't displaying any problem behaviors and you have no intention of getting a 2nd rabbit, then there is no need to get him neutered. Is he old enough to be showing any changes? Some take longer than others. If his "hormonal behavior" doesn't bother you, then there is no pressing need to neuter him.

Ya he’s totally lost his litter habits. He’s 5 mos old and was cleared for the surgery. I just want him to be happy so if he’s constantly thinking about his need to impregnate something, is he really calm and content?

I would guess that most are happier being neutered, where they can focus on being a rabbit instead of feeling incessantly driven to reproduce when there are no females around. N is still a matter of personal preference though - there aren't the same medicinal benefits there are with female spays, so neutering a male would be more to address behavioral issues, to make it possible for them to bond with another rabbit or because it's your personal belief that your rabbit will be happier without hormones.
