Sick bunny

Hey everyone, I have this bunny Luna who is about 4 years old. This morning I noticed she won't eat anything and will barely move. Her nose looks a tiny bit wet but the rest of her looks fine and normal. I don't know what can be causing such a different bunny over night?

Lethargy and a lack of appetite is common when a rabbit is feeling pain and/or discomfort. Sometimes it's an upset stomach and gas pain, and giving baby gas drops(no xylitol) may help, but it can also be a more serious health problem that would require a vet to investigate the cause and treat.

I try the baby gas drops(simethicone, dosing info in link) if I think it might be an upset stomach, and if my bun isn't feeling better in a couple hours or the condition worsens, I get them to an experienced rabbit vet right away. It's considered an emergency if a rabbit hasn't eaten for 12-24 hours, or develops bloat or diarrhea.

Ok great thank you! I'll go run out and get gas drops. She's now sitting up and moved around a little so a tiny bit improvement from a couple hours ago!

Are these gas drops safe to use on bunnies?

Hey guys I just woke up to these pee? Spots all over my floor, has anyone else encounter this colored urine??

Could be a UTI. Fresh brown colored urine, incontinence, and urine dribbling can all be indications of this. Urine sitting for a while can sometimes darken a bit though, so the vet would need to verify if there is blood in the urine or not. A UTI would also explain the earlier lethargy and lack of appetite. Might be good to lay down a white sheet or sheets of newspaper in her area. Then if she has an accident again and you can see it when it's fresh, you can better determine if the color is still brown, if there is any dribbling of little spots, and if there appear to be any spots of blood in the urine.

If a UTI is suspected, I would get my bun seen by a rabbit savvy vet asap on Monday(or today if they are open). If it is a UTI, she'll need to get on the appropriate antibiotic(usually baytril), and probably pain meds as well(meloxicam).

In the meantime it's extremely important to ensure she is eating an adequate amount so that she won't also develop gi stasis before you are able to get her into the vet.
