    Stress Bonding

I’ve used stress bonding (in a bathtub and carrier) with tons of success bonding 6 rabbits, 2 males & 4 females, together. Of course, only after all rabbits have been fixed for a minimum of 8 weeks before you begin the bonding process.

Suggestions Safe Nesting Materials - need NOW....lol

I always just used regular hay and brushed some of my does hair to lay in there. And then of course she plucked her own hair. It worked great :)

Convince Parents to let me get another rabbit?

So happy for you!! That’s so exciting! Can’t wait for pictures 😁

Should I get a second rabbit?

I honestly would never have a bunny that wasn’t bonded after seeing mine all bonded. It’s so fulfilling for them. Grooming each other and laying together.. I can tell my 4 (& 2 fosters) are way happier with a companion than before I got them bonded. Not to come of the wrong way or anything but...

What's the next step in bonding my male rabbits?

I would recommend more stress bonding along with sharing the playpen. This way they are still strengthening their bond. Either in a carrier, bathtub or on a short car ride. Just so they seek each other’s comfort. Also maybe try swapping stuffed toys while they aren’t in the same pen. Are they...

    2022 Indoor Cages...add your photo!

Today I started the process of free roaming my 4 rabbits + 2 Fosters in my room. Still working on proofing some things but so far so good! Just hoping my older lionheads don’t have an issue with their potty habits due to having more space 🤞

    Nesting Questions

What I did with my lionhead was brush out some of her hair and put it in her nest sort of as a hint and so she didn’t have to pull as much. She never had any litters outside the nest box. (:

Convince Parents to let me get another rabbit?

My dad was the same way, I’m 17 and it took a long time for me to convince him to let me get another rabbit after my first. What I did was write a really persuasive letter including all of the facts of why rabbits need companions so I could get everything down without him interrupting me pretty...

    Tips on clipping nails?

My Netherland dwarf is the same way. It’s taken over a year for him to let me trim all of his nails at the same time. Start with just clipping two or three nails and then letting your rabbit take a break and give them treats. The best way is just to sit on a stool in a different room than what...

    Love at first sight?

Of course every rabbit is different when it comes to bonding, when I was going to pick up my female netherland dwarf, I took my neutered male netherland with me to be sure there was hope of bonding the two. They rode together on the way back and have not been separated since. I did 0 bonding...

    Can two males bond?

I bonded my first 2 bunnies together that were males not even knowing it was a hard pair to bond. They were both not neutered at the time and never had any issues at all, even while bonding. I did then get them neutered about a year ago and they then didn’t get along at ALL. They are now...

    2022 Indoor Cages...add your photo!

Bonded my 4 bunnies (Left to right: Echo, Zola, Gemini, Romeo) with my 2 foster buns (Ember & Juliet/Jewel). This is the pen they all share! They get lots of playtime too. Sorry about the lighting..

the rabbit destroys the relationship of his owners

Even if you can’t find a solution to him not being on your sofa, that’s no reason to rehome him. Many rabbits do well simply being confined to an exercise pen as their homebase when you’re not able to supervise them. That’s what I have to do with my rabbits because they are very destructive and...
