Question on litter training and hay

So unregistered rabbits can become registered rabbits if you go through the eval and they "pass the test" so to speak? I kinda figured it wasn't just any ol rabbit...lol ;):biggrin2: What does a pedigree consist of? I'm just asking because my son was interested in maybe getting into...

Question on litter training and hay

Quick questions... If their whole cage is lined with hay, is it still possible to litter box train them or will they think they can just go anywhere because of all the hay? Are there registered rabbits? Like pure bred dogs and goats have papers, do some rabbits? If so, do rabbits need...

I dont know much about rabbits, especially about having baby rabbits but I do know that when everanyone around my house has a baby, we always seperate mom and babies from everything else. Moms are funny creatures and you just never know what they may do. It kinda sounds like...

    Finally got my bunnies

I didn't think I would ever like goats but we got our first one for our 2 year old. He loves feeding animals and believe it or not he is more responsible about it then most grown people. We wanted something close to his size (so we got the dwarfs) that was a little more rugged, after all he is...

Why you should buy hay in BULK!

Zyzra wrote: Hay HAS to be stored dry and out of the rain or else it will get moldy.Other than that, I dont think it goes bad (other than normal break down or composting)but then again, I've never stored hay for longer than a month. Of course if your looking for greener hay then I'm sure it...

Why you should buy hay in BULK!

Only had them about a month so I can't really help with this. I buy alfalfa for 9.75 a bail and between my buns and my mini goats I use about 2bales a week (thats just the alfalfa). But since mine are young, I alsoline there whole cage withthe alfalfa and the first day all they do is eat what...

two bucks together ok or no?

My two boys get along but they are onlya little over 2months old. They have been together since they were 5 weeks old but will have to watch and see what happens when the hormones kick in. Maybe if I get them neutered at the same time they wont have a fall out.

    Finally got my bunnies

Someone told me the one in Seguin is April 17th. If they are all after this month then that would be great as it's a little busy for me. Last week of March is good though.

    No pellet diet?

Christina, thats kinda what I was thinking but wanted to check. I've already started buying the seedlings for the bunny garden I'm starting and have checked out the stores to see whats easy to get there. I'm hopeing to get as much of a diversity as possible and only feed pellets as a supplement.

    No pellet diet?

Does anyone here do a no pellet diet for your fur babies? Do you have a good veggie feeding diet that would provide all the nutrition they need? I was just wondering if this would be do-able as you never know whats in most of these store bought pellets.
