Thank you guys! I just got through replacing the hay in mama's nest. I looked at the babies and it seems I was over worried. It went away! My nest isn't as neat and pretty as mama's was but hopefully she won't be to mad and fix it. Now I am covered in stray fur. It's amazing how much I pulled...
I haven't checked on them this morning but I will keep an eye on it. Hopefully it's just dandruff. Could it possibly be the hay irritating their baby skin?
The babies will be exactly 4 days old in a couple of hours! How long would it take for dandruff to go away? I checked all adult rabbits yesterday for mites. Mama did not appreciate the full body search. I got lots of thumps from her.
Could it still be mites if none of the other three rabbits have mites? My male just went to the vet a couple weeks ago and they always check them all over when they go and my female seems fine as well and mama bunny I've had her for 3 weeks and none are showing signs of mites.
I recently started fostering a female rabbit that had babies unexpectedly. Mama is doing great, the babies are being fed and have huge round bellies. I noticed this white stuff that resembles lint or dandruff on the black on and the little white one has a tiny bit on it's ears. Should I be...
That's what I was working towards JBun. I'm still switching her over from timothy pellets and increasing her amount as well. How much should I increase? I was giving her a little over half a cup, she weighed 7 lbs when I first got her and on top of that no one knew she was pregnant when I got her.
We are fostering a mama bunny that has 2 babies that are two days old and I can not find anything on feeding nursing does. I'm giving her alfalfa pellets and will more than likely buy some alfalfa hay for her as well but what vegetables do I feed her that will help give her what she needs and...
Thank you! He's gotten much better for only being on it for 2 days. His sneezing has reduced drastically and so far I'm not seeing any mucus. He's taking his Baytril twice a day .5mm when he's not fighting the syringe. If the Baytril doesn't work I'm definitely going to ask for something...
I took Sir William to the vet today and she said that he's in great condition other than the sneezing and mucus. We did go ahead and put him on Baytril because he's not as bad as I thought and she feels that since he's doing so well that Baytril will work. If not then we will have to sedate him...
The last thing I want to do is put my little guy down. We have an appointment for Tuesday and I'm seriously thinking of just sucking it up and driving 2 hours to a vet that services a rabbit rescue group I know of. He's still isolated to my bedroom only. He will eat his veggies and pellets but...
He's still eating but will only eat his pellets but not his hay. His poop seems normal and he seems to be breathing fine other than sneezing. The tylan did seem to work but he took a second dose last night but it didn't really seem to do much for him. I'm going to call Monday to get him an...
That's good to know. I'm trying to keep hope that I'll have some good news when I take him to the vet. I wish I could take him sooner but my car is completely draining me on my finances :( He's in pain so I'm trying my best to keep him comfy. He's grinding his teeth a lot with the occasional...
My male rabbit is sneezing and has white snot coming out his nose. I was wondering if it's possible that it's pasteurella. I've been reading up on pasteurella just in case and every site I go to says it's best for the bunny to be put down. He's on Tylan 50 until I can get him to the vet after...
