Update - we took her to PetCulture where they do nail trims for free!! and it wasn't bad at all, was hard getting her into her carrier, but they said with her being so young and that she has objects in her cage (wooden bridge, timothy hay tunnel) it probably helped keep them from growing too...

Thank you, I've taken the wood chips out and only left it in her litter box, she's still going poop all over in the cage and she's dug some of the litter out in front of the box and is going there, the only problem with moving the litter box there is it's right in front of the door...we'll be...

I've never been able to pick up Sparkles without her fighting me like crazy...it's quite frustrating as I am not able to clip her nails either...she's over 6 months old, is this a huge problem with her nails not being trimmed regularly?

I have a question here, hope I'm not sabotaging your thread here but I currently have our lop Sparkles in a huge cage with a loft where I put wood shavings on the bottom as it's plastic, so I shouldn't have to put the shavings in other than her litter box, is that correct? that's why she's...

not sure if this post is looked at anymore...noticed it was started 4 years ago! Anyway, I'm from Guelph, and got our first Holland Lop Doe this past June, DOB April 2014. Am totally in love with her but do wish I had more time to train her, do little tricks or even come to me when I call...

she's 6 month old holland lop...she does not like being held at all, will run away, or charge at you if she's in her cage especially...she will come up and investigate you and wait for some scratches/pets but that's about it...having a hard time getting her nails cut and hope they aren't too...

I would say holland lop as well...we have one who is now 6 months old and is about the same size

Well, she's been with us for about a week now and we are totally in love!! she is the cutest thing and we know she's happy cause she's jumping so much...I think there's a term for that but not sure? Here she is, Sparkles:
