At what point do you stop trying to pick up an unruly bunny?

Females usually hate their bellies touched, babies are the only ones allowed. Grab around her shoulders with one hand and scoop up her butt with the other instead. Some are calm enough to allow one hand under their necks supporting their chests and the other hand on their butts. Or even lift...

Is it true that a red glow in eyes when light reflects them is only found in Sables?

That glow is in ALL animals with eyes. Even humans have that reflection when you use flash on a camera. Your dog's eyes will reflect, your cat, a horse, a frog, everything.

Is it possible for a mama bunny to over feed its babies?

Yes, it is possible. They should be rounded, but not look like they swallowed golf balls. If there aren't many kits, then it's better to take the nest out during the day and only put it in for one feeding, removing them again after they have been fed. Do this until they are a week-10 days old...

How to acclimatize your bunny to being carried/handled? Any other way to clip nails?

Trance her in your lap upside down and lightly mess with her feet. Get her used to you handling her feet. Or you can put on a jacket, put her in your lap, upside down with her butt towards you. Lay forward on her so she cannot kick and trim the front feet. Then you can stick her upside down...

Should I be concerned about the kits?

Yes, you or a vet should of opened him up and checked his organs, they could or told you right away what the cause was. Anything from a blockage, cocci or even heart failure. No real way to know anything or know the risk to the doe w/o checking him over.

    Sick or just being weird?

My guess would be hair in his gut and stomach. With hairballs in rabbits, it's best to assume hairballs and treat right away then wait it out. They have a 'pocket' in their guts that create cecal poops and if hair gets clogged in there, it can block the intestines and nearly impossible to clear...

Question about Hay for my lionheads?

Hay is only dried out grasses and weeds, nothing more. Any hay will work, as long as there's no poisonous plants mixed in. You can easily go outside, cut regular lawn grasses, dry them out on the porch and then store it in a cardboard box. If you are feeding a proper and quality pellet food...
