my rabbit has been losing hair on the top of his head, he's 1 and a half and I don't know why this is happening, could it just a birth mark forming or should I be more concerned about this? there's a picture

I have 1 make rabbit and he gets a lot of attention but I feel bad when I go to school and he sometimes gets lonely . I wanna get him a friend but I don't know if it should be a girl or boy?? and is it a good idea because max is so used to all my attention??

my bunny Max is a great rabbit but the other day I walked by his cage and he started thumping really hard on the bottom of his cage, then when I walked away he keep doing it and he was acting really weird. I just changed his food without mixing it with his old one first, do u think this is why...
