    Birds, Bunnies, and a Burnout

These pictures are from about a month ago, but they're new to you! Before I got my other birds, Widget spent a LOT of time on the floor. (He came with clipped wings).

    Birds, Bunnies, and a Burnout

Haha, she'll take raisins from my hands, but she won't let me pet her. Then again, she was never big on petting, so this isn't anything new. :) I just don't want her to run under the bed every time I come in the room.

    Tokyo Buns

This is my Lion-Head. While they aren't similar in color, ShuShu and Jalopy are similar in how there is wool only on the sides of their bodies and a thick mane:

    Tokyo Buns

She def. has lion-head ears, and the way she only has wool on her sides reminds me of lion-heads. ... I'm pretty sure your first bunny is not an American Fuzzy Lop.

    Birds, Bunnies, and a Burnout

Hey, y'all! Time for an UPDATE! Jalopy, my lion-head, has been sneezing / sniffling with a runny nose. Vet says it's an upper respiratory infection, so now I'm stuck shoving antibiotics and benebac down her throat twice a day for a week, plus putting nose drops in each nostril. So basically...

    Birds, Bunnies, and a Burnout

Widget is a young budgie, and males have purple-pink ceres when they are young (so do females, but they have more white surrounding their nostrils). I think he is a boy because after posting pictures of him listed as a "she" on Talk Budgies (another forum), pretty much every reply said "aww, how...

    Sick Bunny!

Meanwhile, I'm trying to win back her love with raisins, her favoritest thing in the whole wide world. We'll see how that goes.

    Maryland Flemish!

I'm pretty sure there is a flemish breeder in Harpers Ferry. Their website isn't up-to-date, but I'm sure with a call or an e-mail one could find out more.

    Sick Bunny!

Thanks for all the support, guys. :) The nose drops have done absolute WONDERS. It's only the second day and already there isn't any more discharge / inflamation. I'm so, so happy that my baby is doing better. :)

    Tina's Babies

birds used to scare me, until one day I decided enough is enough! SO I bought a parakeet (technically a budgie) ... and then I bought a conure (small parrot - about the size of a cockatiel) ... and then I bought another budgie. Once you meet a hand-tamed one, they aren't as scary. Also, start...

    First Bunny Volunteer Experience

Alfred is probably just cage-agressive. I got my second bunny Squints from my local shelter. He'd been there a loooong time because of his eye defect (one of his eyes stopped growing when he was a baby), and he was not the most outgoing guy. He didn't lunge, but he was big on thumping his feet...

    Sick Bunny!

It went okay, I guess. She has an upper respiratory infection and a fever, but her lungs were clear. The vet looked at her teeth and said they looked very healthy. I came home with: the antibiotic Enrofloxacin (flavored like banana) to be given twice daily orally for seven days, Tobramycin...

    Hello, I'm Mary :)

Thanks - the pic of squints really illustrates how the one eye is smaller than the other. (the eye to our left is the defected one). Jalopy is doing her best to sit up straight in this pic! I don't know if other bunnies sit that way, but Lionheads were bred to sit upright (like cats) in...

    Sick Bunny!

In retrospect I think she was probably just sneezing - I looked around the forum, and this is what is called "The Snuffles"?
