    Baby wild rabbits - panicking!

I'm sorry, my internet was down all day. They are ALL alive, and I figure if momma hadn't found them and wasn't feeding them that they would be dead by now. I did let my dogs out this morning and they went wild over a rabbit in the main yard (they have the deck and dog run), so I assume that...

    Baby wild rabbits - panicking!

Thank you guys. I re-created the nest in the flower garden, about 15ft from where the pile was. Since the pile is almost gone I'm hoping she'll go looking for them. I picked up all her fur and put it in the nest. I'll check on them in the morning and evening to see if they've been fed. I also...

    Baby wild rabbits - panicking!

I made a huge leaf pile two weeks ago, and went out there today to bag them, and while I was raking I sent three babies flying. A momma rabbit must have built a nest inside it. Their eyes aren't open, and they're tiny, and I know I shouldn't have picked them up (I had gloves on) but I thought...

Took the rabbits to the rescue today.

I took Beazel and Alfie to the no kill shelter today. They didn't ask me anything about them as individuals, just sign the paper and leave. That was worse then being accused. I get my tax return the day after tomorrow. I'll take them some food, toys and a cat bed. I didn't know I would feel...

Scared to take them into the rescue

I just checked on my refund, and it will be here march 9th. If the rescue will help me with food until then I can take them to the vet. I'm going to call some stables and see if I can't get some help. There's a few that I've volunteered for in the past that may be wiling, and the grocery store...

Scared to take them into the rescue

I have really nasty anxiety, and I'm at the point where I need to take them both into the rescue, and it's driving me nuts. I've been trying to re-home them, but the people never show up or e-mail back. I think I have enough food for tonight, but I'm out of money and I wont get my taxes for...

    Update* Beazel and Alfie

There's good and bad news. Beazel's back feet have completely healed up, and his fur has grown back. His front paws he picks at, but we're working on them. Alfie is doing fine as well. I think they divided up their cage because Beazel isn't happy with Alfie's... behavior. Unfortunately I'm...

RESOLVED Iowa - Rescue - Mini Rex with nasty sore hocks

Pipp wrote: I've noticed even before this he's been flicking his legs at me and running into his hidey-hole. But he's a food motivated bun, and I have a bag of crazians downstairs with his name written all over it. Even when I first got him, and he was out of his MIND scared, he would get...

RESOLVED Iowa - Rescue - Mini Rex with nasty sore hocks

I just wanted to report that Beazel has grown all the fur on his feet back! I just saw today, and terrified him with a victory dance, in which he zoomed around like an airplane. Despite the great news he is no longer speaking to me. :/

Let's see how it goes within the next two weeks. :/ I don't know. I'm unsure.

RESOLVED Iowa - Rescue - Mini Rex with nasty sore hocks

I have proper food for them now, and if I can get this interview tomorrow then I think we may end up keeping them, if that's okay with anyone else. Next week we're going to the tracker supply to get hay as bedding. I also picked up some sliced carrots and mustard greens as treats, and tomorrow...

RESOLVED Iowa - Rescue - Mini Rex with nasty sore hocks

Beazel is 1 1/2, neutered and about 5lbs. Alfie is between 6-12 months, not neutered, and around 5 lbs. He is a bit bigger then Beazel now. I'm not sure what breed he is. They are bonded and live in the same cage. There hasn't been too much issue on who's dominant. It was Beazel, but since...
