    Lucky, 5/04 (?)-4/29/11

Lucky was a large black bun that we got after his original owner died. We took him in after I promisedmy husbandthat it was only temporary and I would try to find him a permanent home. I did try, but no one wanted him and I did not want him to go to a shelter. So a temporary arrangement went on...

    Shedding

Yesterday I got Lucky the Sweet Meadow Hay again. Since I also cleaned his cage, it'll be a good way to see if that helps the shedding problem.

    Scent Glands

Where are the scent glands located? Are they in both sexes or just one? How does the rabbit use them? I have not heard of this with rabbits, but gerbils have them. Both males and females have them but the males use theirs much more and it is more pronounced on them (it is right in the middle of...

    Shedding

What woud be a better treat then? I am not sure how much protein is in the pellets. One thing I forgot to mention. Recently, he did have a diet change. I used to feed him Sweet Meadow Hay from Sweet Meadow Farm (Sherborn, MA). However, our local supplier went out of business and I had to go...

    Shedding

My mini Satin mix, Lucky, is constantly shedding. Just hold him for a few minutes and you'll be full of hair. This happens at any time of the year. I brush him but it doesn't seem to do any good. The hair just keeps coming out. What can I do to improve the situation? Thanks.

    RESCUE: VA (RESOLVED)

a lot of times, sadly no. They just figure a bunny is a cage pet.

Same here. It sounds like he was placed with people who were not rabbit-savvy.

    What might Lucky be?

TO me it feels pretty fine, like very soft catfur. It is pretty thick, too. This guy sheds a lot, too. He seems tohave a sort of downy undercoat.

    What might Lucky be?

Lucky is a sweet little guy, about 2. 5 yearsold. Here he is with my 15 year old son. Lucky is mostlyblack with a good deal of tan flecking. His belly is gray. I'd say heis about 4- 5 pounds. He is about 2/3 the size of our cat. I amthinking he's a 'mutt' butt I'd like to have others' opinions...

    RESCUE: Vancouver

Doesn't surprise me. My husband and I volunteer with 'throw away' kids. We throw away kids, so why not animals? /sarcasm off.
