So my rabbit has had a couple of cat condos (those carpeted hideouts). He likes them to sit in and sometimes dig in.
Well today I discovered blood on the floor and giant gash in his leg. Even the vet had a difficult time getting the bleeding to stop and had to keep him all day.

I actually have no idea what my rabbit Juniper is. I adopted him from a shelter because of how unique he looked.
He's a tough guy with blue eyes and a snake tattoo. Enjoy.
I came up with Juniper rather quickly. I had wanted to name my rabbit after something else I liked. I decided this something else was gin, but did not want to name my rabbit directly after alcohol. So I named him after the source of gin, juniper berries.
So now his name is Juniper. However, I...
One of my old friends from Celina, Ohio was forced to take a rabbit after her neighbor stated they were going to feed it to a snake.
However, my friend has three cats who also want to eat the rabbit. She has never owned a rabbit before and isn't sure what to do.

Welcome aboard. Looks like others covered the nutrition bits. I think my only words of wisdom would be to be patient. I am sure with having chinchillas you have already gained patience with prey creatures. I think their personality really comes through when they trust you and let their "hare" down.

What is my bunny with a snake tattoo?
The shelter I adopted him from said he was an American.
However, he looks a bit Dutch (the snake tattoo).
Also, he has an odd nose shape.
What do you think he is?
Like me, I am sure many of you get the strange looks and curious questions from others about what owning a rabbit is like.
I want to hear the funny questions you've been asked. Or if you have provided these curious folks with some funny answers.
I am always asked:
How did you litter...
So I have a wonderful rabbit who roams free in my living room. He has plenty of places to hide that are nice and dark.
However, recently he has taken a liking to squeezing underneath the couch. While under there, I can hear him start to chew up carpet.
I tried spraying the bottom on my...
Hi. About 2 weeks ago I adopted two brother rabbits who are a little over a year old and neutered. At the shelter and in my home they got along great! They were grooming each other and laying next to one another (see profile picture). They are cage free and were littered trained at first.
A...
