    Old Rabbit With Tumor

I'm so sorry your bunny's ill. It's heart-breaking when there's nothing you can do. Just spoil her rotten while you can and hope she stays well for a good while yet. my rabbit steve had a tumour, but it was the size of a golf ball by the time he fell ill. One day he didn't want his food and I...

    Grunting when I move hand

Lex and Charlie both hand lunge - but never bite. They just both demand face rubbing constantly and when it stops it's an outrage to them. I get pestered incessantly and the do the pleeeeeeeeease face all the time.

Tree Branches and outdoor grasses...good for bunnies?

Agreed. poopoo head. My neighbour brings me milk-thistle, dandelions and mint for my fluffy-friends. And she gave my rabbit free professional physiotherapy sessions when he was paralysed. It doesn't get better than that.

    Spay or Neuter?

i have 3 rabbits. Charlie and Fudge are shelter buns, so they came neutered and spayed. Lex was about to be neutered (he sprays) when he got really ill, so it never happened. He's still sprays ON Charlie and Fudge, but he's not agressive with them, and I love him just as he is, so I think...

    Can Rabbits Get Fleas??

Yes, use the advantage stuff before the rabbits get really bad. It's harder to get rid of fleas on rabbits than it is on any other pet. While most flea treatments on dogs and cats keep them flea-free for up to a month, rabbits treatments only last 10 days. Once you've flea'd the rabbits I'd...

    Old Rabbit With Tumor

ten years old is a great age for a rabbit. My bunny Fudge has a lump in her chest, nearly the size of a golf ball, that I don't know what to do about. She's 5 years old and the vet says to leave it, that it may be a cyst, and she's not at all fussed about it, but it still scares me. I would...

Bunny with sick tummy - please help!!

have you tried her with Simethicone? When I was treating Lex for E.C he wasn't eating enough and he got a nasty bloat. My vet sent me to find any baby medication with Simethicone (i may have spelled that wrong) in it, it's not at all toxic to rabbits, it takes a day or so to start to work, but...

Bunny is not being herself :(

I'm sooo glad your bun's feeling better. keep an eye on the little tinker. i took Charlie and Lex to the vets today for their shots and Charlie won't even look at me now. I was asking the vet about how often they can have panacur without it getting toxic to them, because I'm so worried Lex is...

    Crystals blocked tear ducts

When Lex couldn't wash himself and his eyes were gumming up the vet gave me something called Lacri-Lube which you can put in or around the eyes to lubricate and treat sore areas. He'd lost a little fur and it soon grew back on this stuff. I was washing with chamomile tea with a pinch of salt...

HOW OBVIOUS TO THE EYE is flystrike?!

It sounds like you've probably got them all and caught it early. Give your rabbit a little sponge bath on the backside if you're not sure. I've seen pictures of flystrike and vaguely recall having one of my buns treated for it when I was about 8 years old, and it's pretty hard to miss. Just...

Coughing, or sneezing I am not sure

just in case it's pasturella I'd pop bunny on baytrill - pasturella it kills fast, and my rabbit that died never had any runny eyes or obvious snotty legs. I'm probably just being paranoid, but better safe than sorry. Definitely call a vet and see what they think. good luck. Erren x

Bunny has a really hard time moving

He may have developed E.C himself now that he's a bit older - his immune system might not be what it was and it's so contagious that chances are if one of your buns has had it, they may all be carriers. Only my Lex developed symptoms, but I'm sure he must have caught it off of one of my rescue...

    PLEASE HELP

Don't worry too much, as long as she's eating, she'll be okay. Some rabbits just hate pellets. As long as she's eating hay, that's the most important part of her diet and will keep her digestive system going. If you have access to fresh grass or a few dandelion leaves, they'd be good for her...

    Kiwi's depression...

I've had a rabbit grieve before - it's heart breaking to see. Curry lost Steve and looked for him for months, she'd sit outside his old cage with her ears strained and I'd get all choked up, but she had their 2 kids to keep her company, so I guess that's different. I suppose there's nothing...

Do your rabbits like being picked up? (Poll)

My theory is that all rabbits are scared of heights. I can pick up my Charlie, but he does this little oooomph sound when you lift him like he's saying OH NO, then he'll snuggle, but he breathes quickly and he'd clearly rather not, so I only pick him up when he's being very bad indeed. Also he...
