What material to put in outdoor Poop Spot

For example: could I put stone underneath and Sand on top? Sand might be ugly and may not really absorb anyway Or Could I put rabbit Pellet Bedding? This would be somewhat ugly......Again, I'd be going through tons of pellets as they will be caught in the scoop if I buy a Kitty Litter Scoop...

My bunny fell down the stairs!

Our bunny fractured her pelvis and when they are injured it is VERY obvious. In the wild an injured bunny will be killed by the other bunnies or killed by a predator, so their instinct is to hide, and i mean hide and cower in the corner, shaking. She found a corner where she never goes and was...

How often do your bunnies pee outside the litter box?

As with all animals they will keep peeing where they smell their own scent. I would try to buy that Enzyme stuff to spray in the area to get rid of the smell. Replace bedding or blankets, and also if it's on hard floor, put the enzyme spray and then put a piece of furniture over the spot...

What material to put in outdoor Poop Spot

Hi, My bun loves to hang out outside in our patio/courtyard. She has decided that one of my above ground planters is her Poop Spot and has been pooping there for many months. She hardly poops inside in her litter pan during the day. :) I go out and shovel it up with a spade, but I'm running...

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

UPDATE: We figured it out The diarrhea continued off and on the past three weeks, so we did multiple elimination diets of her supplements and treats....we thought for a while it was the rose petals because we definitely realized eventually, that it was something she was eating in our...

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

We used to have a horse, so I know that I'll need to change the feed over very slowly over the course of ten days.

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

Makes total sense. Do you have a recommendation? We typically buy 50lb bags from Tractor Supply or online pet stores. Right now I have a brand new unopened Purina Show but I could always give it away to some friends who breed.

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

Yes, thank you so much for taking the time! I will check with my vet and then see what I can do. I think I might get a blanket right now and see if she likes it as she is hiding in her cage while people watch TV

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

Hi, she is 13.5 lbs She gets shaved every spring because she is very very hairy due to being bred for a show bunny She gets 3/4 cup of Purina Show unlimited Timothy hay 3 1/4 inch banana pieces (we use these to get her into the house or into her cage) probably about 3 or 4 small pieces of pear...

My 1yo French Lop is sort of having trouble eating her cecotropes

Hi everyone, our French Lop Clover is a very clean little bunny as most bunnies are, and is litter trained house rabbit with all the love you can imagine, proper vet care, and a healthy diet of mostly Timothy hay and some pellets and the occasional plain cardboard with no dyes or inks, she also...

    Musky smell in the room

Our French Lop is wonderful, kind and gentle but one thing she doesn't like is handling against her will. She will never let us clean her scent glands...the best I could hope for is chasing her with a wet towel and trying to get at the bum area, but it's pretty upsetting to her.

    Musky smell in the room

Habib, it may be hard for them to re-train if they have not been litter trained at all, but did you try putting hay INSIDE the litter box, like on the edge? Also, they may each want their own litter box. Try letting them out of their cage, and giving them two litter boxes with CareFresh and a...

    Musky smell in the room

I just came on here today to ask this same question! Our bunny is about five months old and suddenly starting producing this scent last week. We clean her cage every day, she is litter trained, etc but the scent comes from her butt! It smells kind of like a skunk or rank marijuana, my hubby...

New French Lop owners, help with cage

I found an awesome vinyl flooring mat on amazon that was 6x8, so that would work. I obviously could have saved money going to HOme Depot and just having them cut a piece but this will look nice and save me time. We just have to go pick up some heavy pavers to make sure she doesn't slide it...

New French Lop owners, help with cage

Wow yes thanks so much!! I love the ideas in there too. She would love this much better than her current house. Of course, she has almost 6 hours per day out, but that means she also has almost 6 hours in :) I'd prefer for her to be comfortable. So for the laminate, do you take it outside...
