Counting down the days to my new little english girl. I still have a little over 2 weeks left before I bring her home!

OMG! How cute! How do you deal with all that hair? I have one English in the house and I find his hair all over the place including in my food, all the furniture, air vents, NIC panels. I sweat the vaccume is going to burn out its motor trying to keep up with him.

Thanks everyone!

Minilophop you really need to pluck him. Every 90 days they blow their coat. It comes out very easily and they are left with a coat that is about an inch long. I pluck all mine when they start shedding and the hair grows back in 90 days and then I pluck again. Not plucking could cause your rabbit to ingest his hair and get wool block. Another thing that minimizes the hair is blowing out the coat. You can do that with either a dog drier (expensive) or a shop vac in reverse. It not only detangles the hair but also gets out loose hair and hay. Plucking though stops shedding completely for me. You pluck out very small amounts at a time, grab the tips of the hair and pull, it should come out very easily, if it doesn't then its not ready. My rabbits don't mind it at all. I usually do it in 2 or 3 sessions just to minimize stress, they also get overheated. If you want I can also find youtube videos that explain the process.

Absolutely beautiful rabbits. All of them are. Can't wait to see your new one in April. You must be so excited. Hoping Furby and Star are settling in nicely.

K:)

Thank you! Yes, furby is amazingly cute! I am in love with him. He is very layed back too. Angoras are so gentle and layed back, you can do anything with them. I can't wait till april either. I am getting a beautiful little bunny. She has a half butterfly on her nose but that is allowed in angora rabbits.

I do pluck him, but apparently not often enough. I didn't know they blow their coats so frequently. I just watch for the lighter color and then pluck it out. He loves to lay in front of a fan so that is similar to blowing it out, he just does it himself. :)

He eats lots of hay and I give him a bit of papya daily. I will pluck more often then. Thanks for the help.

They are adorable. How can anyone not fall in love with a rabbit. We even pluck our other rabbits, Benjamin was so big and hated to be brushed, but you could pluck him of loss fur and no problem.
