    A friend for my bun

I think a lot of us bunny owners have been there, wondering if our buns weren't lonely when we're not there. But then there are precautions you must take if you want to be sure you will effectively give your bun a friend instead of a hated rival. First of all, your bunny and their new friend...

Rant: My Rabbit is becoming a pain in the tuckus...

I just remembered about my chiropractor telling me one day 'You often cross your legs, do you?'. Yes, I do every day when I'm sitting surfing the net because it's the only way to stop my bunny from making babies with my socks. I had no idea anyone could tell tho.

Is my rabbit mad at me?

Are you sure you didn't injure him by forcibly put that harness on him? Grinding teeth can mean they are in pain. And also, be careful about the type of harness you are using. Nothing should be wrapped around your bunny's neck, it's very fragile and full of very important nerves to the head.

Anyone else's bunny do this? *face palm*

Just a little note to tell you to be very careful about this kind of hay feeder the bunny can get in. There have been accidents and broken paws with bunnies that got their limbs caught in the wires of half empty feeders and desperately tried to get out. Please, cover yours!

Rabbit suddenly very calm and friendly?

You took him to neutral places where his scent was nowhere, so now he's clinging to you for comfort. It was the same for me the first time I got my buns to the park/vet. You can use this if one day, a change of season make him suddenly nervous and aggressive and willing to protect his territory...

REPOST: Bunny Bonding Woes -- HELP

Try to buy a big piece of fabric like a large towel and cover the bottom of your bath tub with it. Then you put your bunnies in it and separate them with a piece of card board every time they look like they are going to fight. Pet both at the same time, encourage them. Repeat the session each...

    Breeding? Or no babies?

This is a problem that needs to be talked about, because it was never solved and the shelters never stop to be overcrowded. Some people want us to forget about it and stop thinking about it, the reason being that are the very people who feel guilty because they are irresponsible with their...

2019 Cages - add your photo!

I love the toys and soft looking blanket, but I'm a bit worried about the hay at a place where a source of light and warmth can directly touch it. Your hay should stay fresh longer in a darker place, I think.

Have my bunnies manipulated me into filling up their hay racks too frequently?

Uh? My grid is flat, in fact there is just enough space for the poop. I don't elevate it more because I don't want cockroaches to get there too. I live in Japan where it's very humid and hot in summer and I've already seen flies lay their eggs under the grid , plus my buns get greens everyday...

2019 Cages - add your photo!

Here is my setting. On the left, sunbathing area with a UVB lamp (only on for 2 hours per day at noon), litter boxes, in the back cat castle found on Amazon and where I hide their treats for enrichment. On the right, cat tunnel (Amazon again) and other hidey box because they love to zoom from...

    Breeding? Or no babies?

Sorry, this is going to be a little hard to watch, but: http://www.friendsofunwantedrabbits.org/available-for-adoption/gone-but-not-forgotten/ 'Euthanized for lack of space' There are a lot of expensive breeds, litter trained and perfectly bonded bunnies in this long, long list. Whatever you...

Have my bunnies manipulated me into filling up their hay racks too frequently?

Here you go! Both my buns are perfectly litter trained, and cleaning only takes me 5 minutes for 2 litter boxes. If you have any question, feel free to ask!

    What do these actions mean?

Have my bunnies manipulated me into filling up their hay racks too frequently?

I personally have been wasting way less hay since I started to put plastic grids and puppy pads in my litter boxes instead of small animals litter. Nor my buns feet neither their hay get soiled because the pee and poop immediately get through the grid and absorbed by the pee pads. Even if they...

older member but just rejoining group

Every time I look at shelter bunnies, I see expensive breeds and perfectly fine bunnies that of course all would make the perfect life partner... Here too, I see a perfectly fine, adorable bunny with enormous, floppy ears he seems to be hiding behind like the shy little cuddle bug he obviously...

    Late Introduction!

That's a funny trio you've got there! I have seen a lot of people having bonding problems, but it seems that your buns effectively were destined to meet! It must be so fun to see them interact every day. Too bad the babies passed away. When I rescued my Chopper in February, it was my first...

Hello Imbrium! How I agree! And I've often seen a shock of generations on the subject. Every time I speak about rabbits with a person older than me (I'm 45 years old), the image they have of rabbits is the ones in the farms (the meat rabbits). The ones that don't lick you and don't even pay...

I'd like everyone to meet Booboo. An 8wk old rescued cottontail rabbit.

She is so alert, lively and faaaaast!! I love how she was grooming you too when in the crook of your arm, how adorable! You did such an awesome job with her! And I really hope that I will never stumble upon a stranded cottontail baby rabbit because I know no rabbit I can 'borrow' the cecotropes...

Hello, here are my buns Mel and Chopper

I'm French and I live in Japan, where I got my first domestic rabbit 15 years ago. My little Cinnamon (Lop Ear, unfixed male) is the reason why fell in love with rabbits and now need them in my life. Here are the two buns that enlighten my days, 2 years after Cinnamon passed away. Mel is a 2...
