If it's actually wild and has it's eyes open and is not injured, it can be released back into the wild. If it needs medical attention or is too young for it's eyes to be open, she needs to call wildlife rehab centers, not shelters. A quick Google search should bring up some in her area. Also, some vets and shelters may know of licensed individuals who could take the rabbit also.

Wild rabbits aren't pets. She needs to release it if its eyes are open and it's not hurt.
